What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“Being able to help my students in carving their future path”

In my 20 years of experience as a teacher and an administrator, I feel like I made a little bit of a contribution to the growth of my students. I generally receive phone calls and messages from my students when they get placed or get any promotions or any kind of birthday and festival wishes. The kind of feeling of happiness I get at that time is a sort of self-satisfaction for me which makes me continue in this position.

What is your philosophy of leadership?

“Being a leader that actively seeks the ideas and unique contributions of the employees that they serve”

I strongly believe that Leadership is not Bossism. It is a kind of responsibility where you inspire, provide proper guidance, and caring to the staff. This is how one can create a culture of learning, and an atmosphere that encourages followers to become the very best they can.

Any insights into how your institution welcomes students of different backgrounds?

“A zero-tolerance policy towards discriminatory behavior”

There is no question of racism or economic background-related problems. We have a grievance redressal cell, a women empowerment cell, and a separate cell for SC/ST candidates to address such kinds of problems(if any).

What do you think your responsibilities to the University and the students are?

As a Principal, I need to provide a strategic direction in my institute”

Assessing teaching methods, monitoring student achievement, and providing guidance, are some of my roles and responsibilities towards students. We are affiliated with JNTU Kakinada and as per the recent trends, the curricular gaps need to be identified and intimated to the University.

What do you think should be the College's top priority over the next 10 years?

To focus on technology-related studies along with the overall development of the student”

Technologically, the next 10 years are very crucial for all higher education institutes. Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, Big data analytics, mobile computing, blockchain technology, etc., are trending now. The staff, as well as students, needs to focus on these technologies.

What has been your vision for this university?

“We intend to bring parity between academics and practice, profession and society”

The vision of our institute is to evolve as a premier institute for excellence in education, research, and technological services. We are doing good and hopefully, in the coming few years we will be successful in achieving our vision.

What would you like people to know about your institute they may not know?

Our Institute is NAAC accredited with state of art laboratories”

We have the center of excellence available which fulfill the purpose of training the students in recent technologies. We make sure that our students get exposed to different aspects of the field and learn via, short-term courses, workshops, and seminars.

What are some of the biggest challenges you see for higher education?

“Employment opportunities, inclination towards higher education & core technical branches”

  • The gross enrolment ratio in HEIs is decreasing year by year.
  • The admissions in the core branches are also decreasing.
  • Job opportunities need to be created for core branches

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth?

“Staying abreast with the dynamic changes of the education and job industry is essential”

Focusing on their goals, updating their knowledge, and improving their skills based on the current requirement. Commitment, dedication, and hard work are the three main things one should acquire.
