RAYAT BAHRA UNIVERSITY MOHALI

What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the students are?

I think that the students are our real stake holders. My institution is working day and night for the betterment of students. We have introduced it to get the feedback from students to ensure more and more improvements from time to time. My first concern is to provide an employable friendly environment to the students.

What are the interventions you bring in apart from the curriculum to train the students?

Each student wants to perform well and learn the most, but the methods they use may differ. Because of their different ways of thinking, they learn differently. As a result, we emphasize self-regulation strategies for metacognition, collaborative learning, peer tutoring, as well as effective feedback. We can help them become better learners by providing them with the time, support, and tools they need.

How did you train your Faculty to deliver programs to students in the best possible way?

Our university firmly believes that teachers play a major role in students’ life as they not only teach them but make sure that students also become socially responsible people. To do this in a perfectly possible way, teachers also need to be updated with the happenings of this dynamic world and students' requirements. Therefore, our college organizes professional development programs, hands-on training sessions and workshops on a regular basis to make sure teachers stay aware of the newer technologies, educational practices and industrial standards. In addition to this, teachers collaborate with various educational communities and groups to stay in touch with the latest happenings of the outside world and also to equip themselves with methods of dealing with different difficult situations.

What is your philosophy of leadership?

I have always worked with a collaborative and participating style of leadership where each of the members collectively takes up tasks and implements ideas to reach a mission. I always believe in the influential decentralization of the power system for decision-making.

How is your university more welcoming to students of different races or economic Background?

The fee structure of our university is very nominal and in line with standards defined by the Government and we do not ask for any fancy charges from students for anything. In addition to this, the environment of our college is extremely healthy, and all students are treated equally regardless of their caste, creed or religion. Financial assistance is also provided by the institute to underprivileged and meritorious students in the form of scholarships.

What do you like people to know about your university they may not know?

Our campus has an excellent reputation in the region. We actually care about the careers of pupils. Every faculty is concerned and puts 100% effort to make students achieve their targets' great outcomes.

Any suggestions would you like to give to the aspiring students?

I always motivate the students to set higher goals in their life. I think nothing is impossible to achieve in this world, but it could only be possible with hard work and dedication. Students should focus on their career development. Opportunities knock on our door, but the students should be ready to grasp these opportunities. Passion can create miracles.
