Mr. E. Atcharao is the Head of the Department of ECE at Kakinada Institute of Technology and Science. He holds an M.Tech. degree in VLSI and ES, along with a B.Tech. degree in ECE. Besides his present employment, he also works at the Andhra Pradesh State Energy Efficiency Development Corporation as a Field Engineer.

You have held key positions at education institutes throughout your professional career. What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector? 

Teaching and studying are my ambitions. I have worked in the field of education ever since I finished my post-graduation. My profession as an educator requires me to learn new skills and keep up with current trends in addition to instructing children. I enjoy establishing a climate that will support entrepreneurship, innovation, and research to address societal issues. I find a sense of pride in our pedagogical techniques, which include research, hybrid learning, entrepreneurship, analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Blockchain courses, and more, all aimed at ensuring that our students possess the skills to become global industry managers and leaders.

Being the HOD of Kakinada Institute of Technology Sciences what is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

In my opinion, openness and communication create a positive environment on our campus. Additionally, having a diverse work environment establishes trust, and promotes effective teamwork, all of which are critical to the team's success. I base my leadership style on these attributes. My goal is to create a cohesive, high-achieving team by allocating tasks to the right people and providing them with the support they require.

The education systems in India and other foreign countries are structured very differently. In your experience, what can an inbound student gain from studying here in your institute?

India is a popular study destination for students because of its rich history of creativity and research. College instructional strategies are created to help students develop their capacity for rational and analytical thought. Most engineering institutions host alumni events, conferences with subject matter experts, and business executive visits regularly, which helps students immensely in knowledge exchange. Another benefit of Indian higher education's great quality is its widely acknowledged cost-effectiveness. Our college uses both conventional education techniques and contemporary technology to enhance learning.

What do you think should be the Institute's top priority over the next 5 years? 

The mission of the Kakinada Institute of Technology Sciences was to be one of the best-paying posts in the East Godavari District. Students at our college aspire to pursue research and progress into professionals. Some of our students are also working as entrepreneurs and have become influential entrepreneurs.

What do you see as your Institute's greatest strengths?

Activities at our institute include undergraduate research, studio performances, study abroad options, internships, and hands-on laboratory investigations. The Kakinada Institute of Technology Science has instructors who are dedicated and add to our repute. We have a well-designed infrastructure, use conceptual teaching strategies, and conduct workshops with practical experience and guest or visiting academics which are also our strengths.

What would you like people to know about your college they may not know? 

Our college has a welcoming environment that students enjoy being affiliated with. It also offers an outstanding place to work. One of the greatest colleges for students is one where they may experience a fusion of academic and industrial best practices. We have world-class full-time and visiting faculty, as well as a distinguished leadership series where we welcome speakers from the industry. 

Any message you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students? 

In terms of students, perspective shifting is a vital talent. They need to overcome the challenges, quickly adapt, and reskill instead of upskilling. Students must develop rapid adaptability skills, considering current trends, in order to handle shock events in the future or changes such as COVID-19.
