What are the factors that make this program the best for the students to opt for?

The ECE (Electronics and Communication Engineering) program is an evergreen branch that provides the best career to students who want to have technical growth and financial growth. ECE graduates can get job satisfaction and stability. There are plenty of opportunities for ECE graduates in the state and central government sectors. The students can settle in either the software side or the core side depending on their interest.

What are the best practices in the program you are doing?

To make the teaching more interesting to the students I encourage the staff members to adopt new teaching methods like explaining the topic with activities and using models, I used to conduct Quiz programs and technical seminars to make the students participate in learning. I encourage the students to counseling such that slow learners can come out of their problems.

How does the program ensure that students are being prepared for the future?

The students who graduate from ECE can easily get a job. In India, there are many central government and public companies for ECE students. In ECE there are excellent areas like VLSI, Embedded Systems, and Semiconductors. Once a student gets a job in these areas, there will be a huge growth.

How do you tend to build an industry connection with the program?

By organizing regular industrial visits, motivating the students to undergo industry internships, and arranging interactive sessions with industry experts, we can make industry connections with the program.

What were the challenges that you faced while inculcating this program into your curriculum?

The major challenge that I faced was, that some subjects seemed to be difficult to understand. Also, students having poor backgrounds in mathematics are taking more time to pass such subjects. The pass percentage in those subjects is also very low.

What are the types of projects that the students are working on through this program?

The students are doing projects on medical applications, industrial applications, home applications, automobile applications, etc. The best thing is some students are doing a project on heart attack detection using sensors.

What are the benefits and career options after pursuing this course?

By studying the ECE program, the students can have two major benefits such as they may go for either the software side or the core side. The ECE graduates can enter the central government companies through the GATE exam. The ECE graduates can opt for IES, Groups, Civil services, etc. such that they can get a chance to serve the nation and state.

What do you think are your roles and responsibilities?

As a head of the ECE department, my roles and responsibilities include motivating the students to attend classes regularly, counseling the slow learners and arranging the remedial classes to clear their backlog subjects as early as possible, and conducting the activities and events for the overall development of all students and arranging interactive sessions with industry experts and with our alumni to reduce the gap between the institution and industry.
