New Delhi: Banaras Hindu University has appointed new directors for three of its institutes, Institute of Management Science, Institute of Science, Sustainable Development, and Institute of Environment of BHU. The appointment of three directors is made for five years or until the date of superannuation, whichever is earlier.
Professor Sudhir Kumar Jain, Vice Chancellor of BHU has appointed Professor A. S. Raghubanshi as Director of the Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development. Professor Sanjay Kumar has been appointed as Director of the Institute of Science and Professor Ashish Bajapi, as Director of the Institute of Management Studies.

In addition, Professor Ashish Bajpai is a senior faculty member at the Institute of Management. Previously Anil Kumar Tripathi’s tenure as the Director of Science ended on January 31, 2024.
Professor A S Raghubanshi and S K Dubey’s tenure as Directors of the Institute of Management Studies and Institute of Physics, respectively, ended in November 2023. The professors served in an acting capacity until the new directors were appointed. Currently, Professor Sanjay Kumar is the head of the Department of Physics and the Coordinator of IOE-BHU.
