  • The Master of Science Mechanical Engineering programme deepens and expands knowledge and skills in the analysis, design, simulation, optimisation and construction of technical systems.
  • In addition to the classic lectures and exercises, the programme also includes application-oriented forms of learning, including a practical mechanical engineering tutorial and industry-related advanced design projects, through which students can gain initial experience in basic and applied research.
  • In the project area, it is also possible to choose the option of a twelve-week external project work in industry and thus to apply the theoretical knowledge to the professional world while still studying.
  • Due to the great freedom of choice in the Master's degree, students decide for themselves whether they would like to receive a broad education in general mechanical engineering or choose one of the following specialisations offered:
    • Sustainable Use of Resources
    • Clean Energy and Process Engineering
    • Future Automotive Systems
    • Digital Based Production and Robotics
  • Due to the network with many international partner universities, stays abroad for entire semesters are possible.
  • The MechCentre student advisory service provides support in drawing up an individual study plan.
  • There is no compulsory internship for the Master's programme in Mechanical Engineering.
  • However, there is the option of external project work in industry, which can be incorporated into the degree programme.
