New manufacturing processes to improve productivity, flexibility and sustainability must be smart and networked in secure the future and competitiveness of production.
This program is a direct response to the major impact digitalization and Industry 4.0 had on the production technology in the past ten years and will qualify students in the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer science.
Students learn about topics such as model-based systems engineering, agile production and progressive automation and control production processes in real time with 5G technology.
Students also analyze process chains for additive manufactured components and develop flexible production technologies like selective laser melting. They acquire knowledge about vehicle component production like powertrain or transmission, manufacturing performance and identify process bottlenecks
