Akshay Sanjay Bhoyar Review at HTW Berlin-University Of Applied Sciences, Berlin | Collegedunia

Honest Review of HTW Berlin

Overall experience was good. but since my program was in English, my whole class was full of Indian students, so if you are someone who is looking for more interaction with foreign students, then this is not the best Uni for you. To be honest this is the case of every university in Germany with English course. The curriculum and all is perfect and if you work on language, you can easily get a job.

Course Curriculum :

My course was very much updated and we got limited industry exposure. The course is more into business management.

Exams :

My IELTS score was 7.5 and I learned German language till B1 certification. The university now needs candidates with 7.0 band in IELTS and minimum one year work experience. 3 LORs, SOP, CV, German certification, Experience letters, University transcript.

Placement :

Campus placement doesn't exist in Germany but the faculties used to share links whenever there are any opportunities available in the company of their knowledge. More or less everyone of our batch got a job within one year of the degree. The median salary would be around 50000 euros per annum.

Internship :

I interned in Schaeffler group at Schweinfurt. I was a product management intern and was paid 1600 euros per month as a stipend: I applied for the position from the company website. Linkedin is also a tool where many students applied for internships.

Fees :

When I completed the Degree it was 11,000 euros.

Faculty :

The class was of 25 students and the faculty was also very helpful and encouraging. Particularly Prof. Dr. Schüler Hainsch and Antti Kapanen were very good.

Campus Life :

The university has huge campus which has cafeteria, Library, study rooms, Wifi, club and sports room. The program does not have any extra curricular activity as such . but one has to take initiative to be a part of any activity. There were many of us who were part of Uni football team.

Hostel :

I lived in a student hostel. For the first 2 years, I used to live in a shared apartment shared by 3. Each student had their individual room. I paid 320 euros per month as rent. Next year I lived in a 1 room apartment where the rent was 350 euros.
