NExT 2024 Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must be pursuing MBBS degree for appearing in NExT 2024 Step 1. They must have completed 12 months of internship before appearing for NExT 2024 paper 2. Step 1 will determine if candidates are eligible for appearing in paper 2. However, the reservation criteria are yet to be released, candidates will be updated here after the official announcement.

  • The NExT eligibility criteria must be checked by individuals before appearing for the test. Candidates must meet the certain mark criteria/percentage criteria denoted by AIIMS (Delhi).
  • The eligibility criteria will be set by the exam authorities keeping in view that this will be the single test for exiting MBBS and entering the MD curriculum.

NEET Age Limit

Must have completed 17 years as on December 31, 2024
No upper age limit is there.

NEET Eligibility Marks in 12th

OBC/SC/ST - 40%,
PwD - 40%

NEET Attempt Limit No restrictions on the number of attempts.

NExT 2024 Step 2 Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must pass all six papers in Step 1 in order to appear for NExT 2023 Step 2 examination.
  • In case candidates fail one or two papers in step 1, the individual need to reappear those specific papers all over again to gain passing marks.
  • Must have completed 1 year of internship at a renowned medical college. Else the candidate will be ineligible for appearing in NExT step 2 paper.

NExT 2024 Internship Eligibility

Completing 12 months of internship after NExT step 1 exam is mandatory for all the candidates. The internship result will be evaluated for appearing in NExT step 2 exam. To be eligible for internship candidates must qualify all 6 papers in the Step 1 exam. Also, pass in III MBBS/ Final MBBS (Part 2) Practical exams as regulated by the concerned University.

NExT 2024 Eligibility for Post graduation Courses

  • Candidates with a registered license under the Indian Medical Register / State Medical Register can avail the PG courses.
  • Individuals appearing for the counselling process along with proper document verification.
  • Must have appeared and qualified for both NExT Step 1 and Step 2 exams.

NExT Attempts Limit

NExT 2024 Eligibility Criteria: Attempts Limit

NExT Step 1 and Step 2 can be attempted multiple times by individuals within 10 years from their MBBS curriculum commencement. There is no restriction on attempting the paper in order to improve scores. In such cases, candidates must complete the entire Step 1 and Step 2 paper.

In case any individual fails to qualify for any of the papers, can appear for the same in the following year.
