The Andhra Pradesh Council of Higher Education (APSCE) announces the commencement of web options for AP EDCET 2024 admissions. Registered candidates can access the official website – edcet-sche.aptonline.in, starting September 3rd, to select their preferred colleges using their hall ticket number and date of birth. The deadline for submitting and confirming choices is September 7, 2024, with an edit option available on September 8th. The first phase of seat allotment results will be released on September 10th, and shortlisted candidates must report to their allotted colleges by September 13, 2024.

AP EDCET 2024 Counselling Web Option – (Soon)

General category must secure at least 50% marks in B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Home Science)/B.Com./B.C.A./B.B.M, or Post Graduate Degree, or 5 years integrated course in the relevant subject of Methodology. SC/ST/BC categories must secure 40% marks in qualifying examination to be eligible for AP EDCET counselling.

Verification of certificates for AP EDCET counselling of all except special category applicants will be done in online. Certificate verification can be processed only after payment of INR 1200 (for General, OC/BC) and INR 700 (for SC/ST/PH). Once the payment is successfully done, click on print button and take a printout.

AP EDCET Counselling

AP EDCET Counselling will be conducted in online mode.
AP EDCET 2024 Counselling process will comprise Verification of documents, Registration, Filling online choices and Reporting to the allocated institute for verification of documents.
All the shortlisted candidates are required to pay the processing fee to complete the registration for AP EDCET 2023 Counselling

How to Apply for AP EDCET Counselling?

Candidates to visit the Helpline centre at the stipulated time and date along with all the requisite documents.
Pay the processing fee at the Helpline centre and sign in the centre before proceeding ahead for verification of documents.
All the candidates are called for registration rank wise.
Carry all the original documents for the purpose of verification and bring Xerox copies for the purpose of submission.
All candidates claiming reservation under BC/SC/ST category are required to submit an Integrated Community certificate issued by MRO (Mandal Revenue Officer).
Income certificate issued by MRO after January 01, 2017, will be considered only for the purpose of Tuition Fee Reimbursement as per the rules of the State government of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Use the OTP (One Time Password) sent on the registered mobile number to log in and fill choices for methodology and college.
Fill the choices carefully and take a printout of the finally saved choices.
The allotment of the seat is intimated to the candidate via SMS on the registered mobile number.
Candidates can download the provisional allotment order from the official website and report to the allocated institute for admission.

AP EDCET 2023 Minimum Qualifying Marks

Note: If you have passed B.E/B.Tech. with minimum of 55% marks with Mathematics, Physics are eligible for admission into the Course.

Age Limit

As per the official notification, you mus be of 19 years age (minimum) on the 1st of July in the year in which notification is issued. There shall be no maximum age limit.

AP EDCET Online Certificate Verification

Verification of certificates of all candidates except candidates of special category will be done online. Candidates of special category (PH/CAP/NCC/Sports & Games/AI) shall upload the scanned copies of all certificates (both academic and special category). The original certificates shall be produced at Andhra Loyola College Help Line Centre on 05.02.2024 for verification and fixing priorities. Special categories are:

PH: Certificate issued by the District Medical Board. Candidates with 40% and above is ability are only eligible.
CAP: Certificate issued by Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer (In case of ExServicemen) Identity card and Service Discharge book for verification. Candidates whose parents are domicile of Andhra Pradesh are only eligible to be considered under “CAP” Category

AP EDCET Exercising of Web Options

Exercise of web options is the process, where you can select your preferred colleges and courses online will start.

Step 1: To begin using the web options method, go to the AP EDCET 2024 official website
Step 2: Candidates must click the link to exercise web options on the home page of the official website
Step 3: Upon clicking on the link, candidates will be taken to a new page with instructions. Before selecting the "I Understood" option, candidates are asked to carefully read through all of the instructions
Step 4: When candidates reach a new website, they will be prompted to provide their AP EDCET 2024 login information, including their rank, AP EDCET hall ticket number, and working cellphone number
Step 5: Upon completion of providing necessary information, the candidates will see an option form page on the screen with all of the colleges' names and the courses they offer. AP EDCET 2024 Tie-Breaking Criteria

Given below are some tie-breaking criteria for AP EDCET 2024 Exam:

In case of a tie in the score of two or more candidates, ranks will be determined on the basis of candidates’ performance in any of the following subjects: Maths/Physical Science/Biological Science/Social Studies.
Further, if the tie still persists then ranks will be allocated on the basis of the score in Part-A (General English).
Moreover, if the tie continues even after applying all the criteria mentioned above then candidates older in age will be placed higher in the order of merit.
