Course Curriculum Overview:

I have completed bachelor in mechanical engineering so I want to pursue my career in this field and looking to current scenario India is going toward manufacturing hub goverment of india is doing lots of works in these direction so thats why i choosed this course. As these college is comes in top so faculties are very good infact they are expert in their subject and fields. Every teacher is unique here their teaching style will differ from each other but their teaching style is very good. If you will listen to them in their class it will be very easy to pass the exam. Everthying in my college will occur according to academic calnedar

Campus Life:

There will be lots of fest will be going around whole year main event one is technical event one will be sport event and one cultural event which will be biggest fest in whole north east india. Library is well equipped with lots of book some of them are course book some novel, literature , and also journal paper. We have one central library and every hostel has small hostel library and then their is also department library for some departments.

Campus Life:

Campus infrastructure is at par with international colleges. The sports and gym facilities are well equipped and well maintained. The swimming pool is quite lagre and is a comfort during the humid times. The Student Gymkhana, the student administrative body facilitates various events across the year. The Nalanda Classroom complex is well equipped with projector and sound technology for superior quality lectures, the air conditioning is also quite good. The library has a huge collection of books for the entire student community of about 12000 students. The campus wifi boasts net speed of around 50 Mbps. The labs have gotten bigger and well equipped with time and multiple new labs are emerging across all departments.

Course Curriculum Overview:

College Syllabus was not updated since 1990s, mostly C programming is still followed in the first year. And the syllabus for mechanical subjects is also conventional, manual drawings is practised instead of CAD and 3D modelling. Mostly the lecture model is Professor reading ppt material in class but a few proffesors are really dedicated and make the class lively. Prof Partha Pratim Chakroborty's class on Artificial Intelligence is a really enjoyable one. Prof Anandroop Bhattacharya's class on Heat Transfer was fabulous and conceptually enlightening. Business and Finance courses from VGSOM as optionals are also quite interesting.

Campus Life:

First of all, IIT Kharagpur is having the largest campus among all IITs and probably the largest among all technical institutes in India. Other than area inside hostels. maintenance is very well. It looks really nice. You can have a photograph with my campus's premises background and upload in the facebook and anywhere else. Regarding extracurricular, each semester inter hostel competition is held here. Courts and grounds are very well maintained. Labs are very hi-tech here. IIT Kharagpur is known for having resources needed for studies and practicals. There is no way you can skip by saying'it's not available in the campus. Everything can be arranged here in minimum possible time. Competitions like robotics etc. is held every year in the campus. Students from other institutes also participate in these competitions. The event has lots of sponsors also. Competitions are held at highest level during spring fest. Last year around 56000 outsiders had registered for the same. One can imagine how big is this event. One of the famous celebrities are invited. In last spring fest 2015, Amit Trivedi and group were invited.

Entrance Preview:

I appeared in GATE 2015 and got 17th rank with a score of 814 out of 1000. I wanted to pursue masters degree from a renowned institute. IITs are among premier institutes in India. Especially IIT Kharagpur is known for the resources available for studies and experiments. I felt that ostgraduate M.Tech program would provide me the specialized academic exposure essential to carve a niche in the present day technology. Postgraduation in IIT Kharagpur with its high quality of intellectual and material resources would be the right place to give me the opportunity and environment to realize my academic and professional goals. I believe a masters degree from this institute will not only help me widen my knowledge but will also help me realize my ambition of creating something ingenious, useful and productive in the fast growing field of engineering technology.

Ans. M.Tech from NIT Jalandhar is not particularly useful for placement in manufacturing technology. The reality is that M.Tech from NIT Jalandhar is like any other college, and NIT Jalandhar only focuses on placement for their Undergraduate students, though they may arrange a placement drive for M.Tech students if necessary. So, if a student is exceptionally bright and possesses exceptional practical knowledge, he will be chosen for campus placement. Another issue is that there aren't enough companies in the region with manufacturing technology backgrounds.Read more

Ans. In JNTUK, there are no campus placements available for master’s degree holders. TCS sometimes visits for the interview of post-graduate students and only hires a few students depending on their performance in interviews.  The course is not recognized by AICTE so you won't get many opportunities after completing your course and won't even get any stipend through your GATE qualification.  It is better to prepare for IITs or IISC if you want a career in this field, as these institutes will help you a lot to achieve your goal. Also, a post-graduation from an IIT or IISC will add a boost to your career. It will also be very easy for you to opt for research internships or a Ph.D. if you are planning to do in the future.  It will be better to avoid this college and rather prepare for some better colleges such as IIT or IISC because there are no campus placements available here and neither you will get any kind of opportunities or exposure studying in JNTUK. Read more
