Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course for two reasons, One I am interested in an MBA second Shoolini provides 100% placements. The student-faculty ratio is 1: 40 in the 2018-2020 batch. Most are Professors and Associate Professors. We had quarterly exams and the difficulty level was moderate, if you attend classes regularly then I think you will get a good score and if you study hard then easily 95% you will get.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible after an Internship mostly in the second year, and 90% of Internships were paid and the average stipend was 6000-8000 rupees. Some students get PPO after internship but in my case, I sat in campus placements and after 2-3 companies I got 2 offers and the average package was approx. 6lakhs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My reason to stick with this particular course was that I wanted to not completely detach from my educational background. MBA Biotechnology Management is a rare program which only a couple of Universities are offering. We were a batch of 11 students and we had good faculties, Again quality education is the USP of the University. Exams happened as they were planned even during the pandemic. Exams were conducted with the help of Mettl platform.

Remarks:

The education quality. They take quality education part seriously. Even during the pandemic everything was on point, like from the very first day the lockdown was imposed we wee shifted to online mode of classes. People have certain pre defined notions about the University but once you enter you will notice the difference.

Admission:

Admissions are granted directly on the basis of counseling which organizes different entrance exams for seat allocation throughout the state of Maharashtra. The university is pretty helpful throughout the counseling process. Students are invited for counseling on the basis of their merit in the CAT exam and overall academic performance.

Placement Experience:

Companies visit our campus during the placement drives organized by our college. Students are offered job roles for the profile like managerial, consulting, operational, etc. The packages offered have a scope of improvement, but that literally depends upon the corporate tie-ups.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Very good for MBA - Biotechnology Semester 1 & 2 - Focus majorly on the basics of marketing management with subjects like finance, marketing, law, statistics, basic pharmacology, anatomy, human resource management etc. Semester 3 - Along with the major management subjects, we had electives like advanced pharmacology, pharma marketing, research methodologies, pharma manufacturing process, regulatory law in medicine and pharma and so on. Semester 4 - Focused on niche subjects like OTC marketing, Global pharmaceutical industry research, along with compulsory internship in an organisation for a period of 3-6 months.

Placement Experience:

Yes. Placement committee is actively involved in getting the organisations on-board for interviews. Every student needs to apply for the companies based on the role shared by the organisation. Post shortlisting the candidates by the company HR, they are invited to appear for a GD & PI or only PI depending on the organisation. An offer letter is issued post selection. Average salary offered for MBA - Healthcare was 4 LPA. Highest offer was by Abbott Healthcare at 7.5 LPA for batch 12-14.

Ques. What is highest package for MBA in biotechnology from Amity University, Noida?

● Top Answer By Vijay Thakur on 29 Jan 21

Ans. The placement record of MBA Biotechnology of Amity University, Noida, is not decent. Amity Institute of Biotechnology is different from the School of Engineering & Technology. The school of Engineering and Technology offers BTech courses except for Nanotech and Biotech.  Amity University Noida MBA+B.Tech and B.Tech placement is handled by the same placement cell (Amity University Technical Placement Center). Thus, no proper placement record of MBA students is available with the university. The opportunity of getting placed in managerial posts in MNCs is unlikely. You will end up having job offers proposed for B.Tech graduates. Therefore, you should not opt for the MBA Biotechnology program from Amity University, as its placement cell for MBA biotechnology students is not up to the mark.  For managerial courses, on-campus placement offers a major chunk of good placement opportunities. So, it would be better if you pursue your graduation separately and go for your MBA later from an institute offering specialized management courses.Read more
