How to get admission into a good college?

Many students attempt the entrance tests annually. Engineering colleges also receive several applications. It would be hard to stand out from all students while also making sure one gets admission to a good college. Some tips to get admitted to a good college are as below.

  • Checklist: A good place to start in the process of choosing a good college is preparing a checklist of items one needs or requires from their college. Note down the choice of course fees, hostel and other infrastructure, placement, rankings etc. With the checklist in hand, proceed to the next step.
  • Reviews and ratings: Head to websites that offer ratings and reviews for colleges. Read through them. If there is a feature, contact people and ask them questions about the specific college. Contact people who are seniors in the college through social media for more details.
  • Curriculum: The curriculum should be paid careful attention to. Note if there are electives and how flexible the curriculum is. For any programme, the syllabus should be updated annually and at par with the syllabus of international universities.
  • Faculty: A good team of faculty determines the success of a programme. Take note of several full-time teachers, qualifications, degrees, work experience etc. Having a good professor will positively impact student’s lives immensely for years to come.

How to Prepare for Entrance Exams?

Engineering entrance examinations attract lakhs of candidates annually from across the country. Competition is stiff and securing a high rank is becoming increasingly difficult. To help students prepare better and perform better in the examinations, some tips have been summarised below.

  • Timetable: Create a timetable or a schedule to include all subject topics. Assign sufficient time to cover each topic and time to revise learned material. Be sure to include time to take breaks. Creating a timetable keeping in mind the time left for chosen entrance examination is best.
  • Help from teachers: Engineering entrance examinations cover a wide syllabus. It could be difficult for students to revise and learn entirely on their own. A teacher’s or a mentor’s help comes in handy when one comes across doubts or difficult topics. Be sure to keep a teacher’s number or email id handy to clear up doubts quickly.
  • Concentrate on clearing up basics: Routine learning and mugging up topics will not help in the long run. Go back to school books and clear up the basics. Even if one is clear about formulae and concepts, revise them before tackling more dense topics. Getting the basics cleared up will help immensely later.
  • Sample papers: One can find sample papers and past year papers for practice online. It is hard to know if what is being learned is being absorbed if one is not practising sample papers. Students will also get an idea of the paper pattern, marking, weak areas, time management skills while attempting the paper etc.
  • Mock papers: Days before the actual examination is to take place, one should partake in taking mock papers. There are many sources online that provide timed mock papers right before the exam. Take mocks, identify mistakes, polish up paper taking strategy. At this stage, do not learn any new material.
  • Take care of health: Examinations are stressful by themselves and it is easy to overlook health during preparations. Take care to get enough sleep and good nutrition. Schedule out a time daily for exercise or to do nothing. Get enough fresh air and take time to catch up with friends over a call.

Admission:

Admission is given based on one's 12th marks.ACPC is the organisation which helps you to get admission, they have students help centre from where you get code and one have to used it as password during online course and college selection which applicable to all GTU affiliated colleges.

Remarks:

Its a moderate college in rajkot city itself.Nanotechnology engineering is only available in this college so one have no option.College is by far not college as you get school like atmosphere and restriction as well internal politics also leaves negative impression.

Admission:

I got admitted in this college via CAP ROUND held by Directorate of technical education I applied for the process by buying booklet of dte and applied for the process online I kept RCOE at my last preference and secured a seat here only The application process is bit easy all we have to do is to fill our personal educational details and then we have to fill the option forms of college and to set preferences then we get allotted with a seat on mentioned time

Exam Structure:

The labs are sufficiently big enough and contains all the equipment required but wait most of the instruments and machines are not in working condition and the lab assistants sometimes refuse to do experiments The professors though don’t have how to perform hence students remains clueless Rizvi college is very strict at time of exams supervision if u didn’t studied for exam and planning to copy then its better that you fill a kt form in advance

Campus Life:

Campus is good to some extent , the best part is your are closer to the nature . Wide open grounds add up to the nearby beauty , the hill near the college adds to the beauty .Ground for cricket and football is little smaller , but the volleyball and basketball courts are good enough if maintained well. Labs are all not very well equipped , so you may face a little issue. There are robotics competition and seminars as well during the fest , which are really entertaining and a good source to learn new things

Placement Experience:

From my personal view , i don't find the placement up to the mark . As the very first thing the companies don't show up in this campus , rather you have to travel to the main campus or the Patna center in order to sit for placement . Its not that you don't get ample opportunities , if you are an average student you will get opportunities to sit in most of the companies , but still i suggest ,calling the companies to Deoghar campus would be more fruitful
