Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose B.A.(Honours) in Social Work, because I wanted to join some course that not only offers academic knowledge but also provides some vocational training to work for and with society to make it a better place to live. The faculty for this course is really dedicated to its work, there isn't much classroom study but more interactive classes and fieldwork sessions. Every faculty member is a NET GRF/JRF qualified Professor and works diligently with every student and follows all the UGC guidelines. There are two midterm exams every semester every two months, followed by the Semester end exam, exam papers are moderately to tough to pass, as there is no leniency offered.

Campus Life:

Every Year in the month of August and January, there are cultural fests and sports events organized, wherein different colleges associated with the University of Lko, participate. There is a state-of-the-art Library, named TAGORE Library, on campus, which has lakhs of books available, and there are even e-books to read. Classrooms are equipped with smart features and smart boards to use. This University promotes Sports and extracurricular activities very keenly and provides every assistance possible. Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I love to do social work and through this course, I wanted to learn the right way of doing social work. The faculty is good and decent. There were approx 90-100 students in my course. Teachers are good, highly educated and experienced. Their way of teaching is good. There are semesters in 6 months. How difficult to pass. A very honest answer to this is if you have studied your syllabus properly then it will be easy for you and if you haven't studied anything then it will be most difficult for you. And I have experienced this in my 3rd semester, I was preparing for paper-1 as I thought it is very tough and I won't be able to pass it and I was studying paper-1 only and took paper-2 very lightly now guess what happened., I got 90 marks on paper-1 because I studied that whole syllabus properly and got 41 marks in paper-2 because didn't study it properly.

Campus Life:

No annual fest, no tech fest. There are department programmes, every department has their programmes on a social topic like Mahila shakti, or any trending social topic. There is a plantation programme also on some special occasions. The library of Lucknow University is very classy and has an air conditioner. The Cyber library is the most popular library in Asia. You can get almost all the books. Classrooms are okay, like a school classroom. There is a sports ground and a volleyball court in Shivaji garden near gate-2. There is a social club named ekal foundation, some senior students from ABVP or NSUI act as a leader of the student and helps them or raise voice for important issues.

Campus Life:

Life at the campus was very good. The Annual Fest held here was known as Confluence and it was held in November every year. There was a very good library with many useful books available for students and they really helped us in our studies. Each classroom here has 4 fans and the classrooms are large in size. There were volleyball and basketball activities held on the campus. There were some social groups run by students to help the needy.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The fees structure was good. The fees hike policy was steep. The cost of my course was 7000 annually with a package of 21000 for 3 years. I got the Chhatra Kalyan Scholarship which helped me in future for studies and financial assistance. I got a job at Integral University through this University.
