Bunts Sangha's S.M. Shetty College of Science, Commerce and Management Studies is an affiliated college of the University of Mumbai. It was established in 2008 by the Mumbai-based Bunts Sangha Charitable Trust.
SM Shetty College offers a number of UG and PG courses in the disciplines of Science, Commerce, Management and Media Studies. It currently offers B.Com, BAF, BBI, BMS, BMM and B.Sc. in IT programs at the UG level. At the PG level, the institute offers M.Com and M.Sc. in IT.

S.M. Shetty College of Science, Commerce & Management Studies offers a regular B.Com program, B.Com with Accounting & Finance (BAF), B.Com with Banking & Insurance (BBI), B.Sc. IT, Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) and Bachelor of Mass Media (BMM) programs at the UG level.

- Candidate holding a 3-year Diploma in IT/ CS/ Computer Engineering/ Electrical, Electronics and Video Engineering/ Civil & Allied Engineering with 45% marks are eligible to Lateral Entry (Direct Admission) to the second year of the B.Sc. IT program.
- Candidates belonging to General / Open category must secure at least 45% marks in the last qualifying exam. SC/ ST candidates are allowed a relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum marks eligibility criteria.
- Candidates applying for B.Sc. IT must have studied Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level.
SM Shetty College M.Com and M.Sc Admission 2024
SM Shetty College of Science, Commerce & Management Studies offers 2-year M.Com and M.Sc in IT at the PG level. The basic eligibility to apply for M.Com and M.Sc is a B.Com and B.Sc (IT) degree from a recognized university with 45% aggregate marks.
Admission to both courses is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying degree.

SM Shetty College Application Process 2024
The application process for admission to degree courses offered by the college is done as per University of Mumbai guidelines. Prospective candidates can register online through the University of Mumbai website. The subsequent step is to apply at the college level. The application process in details is as follows:
- Candidates must visit the college campus and purchase the application form from the admission office by paying the application fee in cash.
- All relevant columns in the application form must be filled correctly with accurate details. The applicant must also ensure that the completed application form is duly signed and photograph attached, before submission.
- At the time of registration with the University of Mumbai, the candidates will receive a Submission Copy and a Student Copy of the registration form.
- The submission copy has to be attached to the application form of the institute, and the Student Copy must be retained by the candidate for future correspondence.
Note: Candidates from outside Maharashtra must submit their original Migration Certificate at IDOL (University of Mumbai) within the stipulated deadlines. They must obtain Eligibility Certificate from the University which must be submitted to the institute at the time of submission of the completed application form.

At first I want admission for BSc-IT course in the Ramniranjan Jhunjhunwala College in Ghatkopar,Mumbai but unfortunately my percentage of 12th was not enough then I got to know about S.M.Shetty college and then I visited this college the ambience of this college was very good evening they have air conditioner in every class even for juniors and the admission process is online available so need to go to college every other day

There is not entrance exams you should be 12 pass with good marks and also good marks in maths to getting the first round admission in the college and best colleges in your area and some management seats are also available

There is no eligibility for the course for BCom anyone can avail it application form can be found on the college website all the information is there, If there are any reservations you can get all the details of that, the admission procedures are very smooth you will not find any difficulties for the process.

To be eligible for this course, you need to have passed your HSC examinations (10+2). The application form is on the college website itself. You needn't go to the college office. Furthermore, you will need to fill out all your details online and pay 100 as the application fees. There are reservation benefits for people of the Shetty and Poojary community. I feel the application fees (100) should be reduced.

I applied for RJ College and Ruia College, but due to my percentage I didn't get into any of this and so I need to go here Though This is indeed a good college. No, I didn't avail any quota, I was a general category student. The admission process was very much simple, simply, first of all, I filled a form containing a list of almost 100 colleges, after that I got selected in one college, I have gone to that college and done my document verification. After that, I have again gone for a counselling round where I paid my fees. The admission criteria consisted of the minimum percentage that was 70.

Bunts Sangha's S. M. Shetty College of Science, Commerce, and Management Studies is a Mumbai University affiliated institute based in Powai, Mumbai. Being someone who lives in the suburbs, made travel really easy. Apart from that, the college has pretty good infrastructure and the locality is also fairly posh. When it comes to BMM, the college has some of the best faculty (including visiting faculty). The college is also very conducive to internships and extra curricular for students. The downside of this particular institute is that the peer set is not the finest. A key disadvantage when compared to major MU colleges is that since it is a fairly young institute, it doesn't have high recall value in the corporate world which makes getting internships and jobs in MNCs a little tough. The admission process is pretty smooth and the college administration goes the extra mile to help students with the documentation and form-filling.

I like it. Teacher's and all are very nice. they teach very good. college structure is also very nice and class rooms are also good.
