The students become eligible for campus placements from 9th semester onwards. Most students get placed, some of them choose to go for judicial exams, some apply for masters, and some get into litigation. I plan to get into the corporate law.
The average package is around 8-10 lakhs and there are ample opportunities however I don't know the details but I'm confident that people who are performing well and want to make something of themselves, they can do so.
2017: 84 Percent placed with the highest package of 16 Lacs 2018: 86 percent placed, with the highest package of 11 Lacs 2019: 72 percent, with the highest package of 10 Lacs 2020: 30 percent, with the highest package of 29 Lacs 2021: 72 percent, with the highest package of 15 Lacs The average placement is around 800000
The campus recruitment cell or CRC of the college manages the placements. Several law firms come to college annually. The average package is rs. 80,000-1,00,000. A great number of students also pursue LLM in USA or UK.
I chose B.com. LL.B. (Hons.) firstly because I wanted to get into corporate law. The faculty at ILNU is amazing and the student and faculty ratio here is very much balanced. We have an amazing set of professors who are very well qualified and their teaching pattern is something that makes ILNU a Law School with a difference. We have no. of exams which are spread evenly in our semester which also makes it easier for us to score in a pretty much easy way.
Students become eligible for Campus Placements from their 9th semester. However, all students can get instrumental help in securing internships through CRC. Students are well trained for recruitments which is followed by interviews from leading law firms, and corporates.
College provides placement every year to the passing batch. Also, the placement cell provides regular internship opportunities which open the door for PPOs. After completing my degree I wish to sit for PCS(J) exam.
Placement Wing. Placement cell is fine & most students don't rely on the cell. The reason could be that a batch has at least 120+ students who look for jobs & the cell cannot place them all. Another reason could be that the students try to secure a job on their own & in the firms where they had interned and thus, placement cell has no role in that. Anyday, it's good to not rely on the placement cell for the recruiters won't gonna look into the recommendation of the cell rather the resume of the applicant. You may know that the institute provides necessary guidance related to CV vetting & Drafting cover letters.
It is a Reputed university plus it is in my locality. it has wide community of Alumni which is very important to build connections which are of paramount in the legal fraternity. It is Accredited 'A' by Naac which makes it easy to take education loan.
My college is very good in all the aspects except placements. My college surely need more efforts in calling companies for campus and placing students.
