Established in 1996, Chetana's Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai is one of the institutes set up by the Chetana Trust in Mumbai, India. The institute has been ranked 4th among top B-schools in Mumbai by Times of India 2023. It has also been ranked 125 among the top private B-Schools in India by IIRF Ranking 2024. It is located in the heart of Mumbai’s business hub, Bandra. This strategic location attracts industry professionals for teaching, grooming and placement at CIMR.
CIMR is the second oldest B School in Mumbai with 10,000+ alumni network. Regarding academic program, it offers General Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) with two specialised pathways Retail and Marketing. It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

Chetana's Institute of Management and Research PGDM Admission 2024
Admission in any specialization of the 2 year PGDM program is grated based on the fulfillment of basic eligibility criteria plus the scores in entrance exams. Candidates applying for PGDM must have passed Bachelor’s degree from a UGC recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks. Candidates should have at least non zero positive scores in any of below-mentioned entrance exam.
Final selection of candidates in PGDM is based on any national level Entrance Exams scores viz., MAH MBA CET/ CMAT /ATMA /MAT/ CAT /XAT / GMAT followed by Personal Interview. Interested candidates will have to fill the download application form from the official website or they may fill the form online also.

Key Points:
- Final year students of Bachelor’s Degree may apply for the admission to PGDM program if they produce the proof of completion of eligibility.

Chetana's Institute of Management and Research Application Process 2024
Students applying for any of the PGDM programs by CIMR, Mumbai must visit its official website to complete the application process. However, candidates will have to appear in national level entrance exams before registering themselves for admissions. Applications can be submitted online only.
- Visit the official website of CIMR, Mumbai to apply for the PGDM program.
- Click on “Apply Now” Button.
- Enter the details asked to register as a new user.
- An email regarding the login details will be sent on registered email id.
- Login to the account and enter all the academic details asked. Upload the scanned passport sized photograph and signature.
- Submit the application form and pay the application fee online through NET Banking, NEFT/RTGS, Credit card/Debit card payment. (INR 2000/-).
- Take the print out of Part A application form.
After that, you have to appear in any of the mentioned entrance exams. In case candidates get selected for PI then he has to fill the application form part B by login through his account.

Following attested copies (2 Each) need to be submitted:
- Attested copies of 10th and 12th and Graduation marksheets with Degree Certificate.
- Character and Migration Certificate
- School Leaving Certificate for Date of Birth
- Self-attested copies of graduation marksheets.
- Entrance exam scorecards
- One passport size recent photographs
- Work Experience Certificate
- Demand Draft for payment of fees
- Indian Nationality Certificate in the name of the candidate
After the final selection candidates need to fill Part C of the application form. Also, produce the following documents at the time of admission

The admission process was carried out very smoothly. Since lockdown was imposed all over India, everything thing was done online and it was very systematic. A helpline number was provided if we were stuck in between filling the form. We had to fill the online form, pay the charges, book the slow as per your and college availability. You even receive an email of your slot booking confirmation. On the day of the interview, you are being provided with the link a few hours before which you need to join before 5-10 minutes. So overall admission process was too systematic and easy for students to access.

Applied to Chetana's, Wellingkar, Dalmia, and IES. The criteria through which I was selected for the interview round was based on my CMAT score. And I'm the interview round (held online) I got selected in Chetana's Institute.
Remarks:
It's an amazing college and faculty is also quite experienced. Teachers are very friendly and there are visiting faculties from organizations. Also for placement, well known reputed companies come. Good training the college also gives.

MBA has a wide scope. Before you start, you should choose a good college/university to pursue an MBA. Because there are a lot of colleges running for money and they teach only what's written in the book, MBA is much beyond that. Now let's look at the scope you will have after the MBA. You will have various domains like Marketing, Finance, HR, Information Systems, Operations, etc. However, if you want other fields like MBA in Travel and Tourism Management etc are also available. Based on your interest, you can choose one domain that best suits you. If you are going into the Marketing domain, it's better to learn Digital Marketing as traditional Marketing is getting outdated. But Marketing concepts remain the same. So, remember to choose the best college and a domain, which you are really interested. You can also work in many other management roles such as Business Development, Management consulting, etc. Data Analysis and Digital Marketing are the trending fields now.

I opted for a full time PG management course because a management degree/diploma is a must to be taken seriously in the job market. There is obviously lots of studies during the curriculum which equip a student to face the competitive world with full confidence and might.
