Lala Lajpat Rai College of Commerce & Economics is considered as one of oldest educational institutions located in the city of Mumbai. It is accredited ‘A’ Grade by NAAC and has affiliation with Mumbai University.
LLRCCE offers undergraduate courses in B.Com, BMS, BMM, BAF, BBI and B.Sc (IT); post graduate course of M.Com. At research level the college offers Ph.D in Commerce. The admission norms and eligibility are as per the norms established by Mumbai University.
- Students interested in pursuing bachelor’s degree courses will be admitted solely on merit as per marks obtained in class 12th qualifying examination.

For candidates interested in research studies, the college offers Ph.D programme in Commerce and related specializations. The selection of candidates will be based on PET 2019 scores and performance in personal interview.
To apply for the programme, candidates must have obtained Master’s degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university. Also, those candidates who have passed Master’s Degree by Research or M.Phil degree of Mumbai University or any other recognized University are eligible too. Any candidates seeking admissions into LLRCCE will obtain application form from the office during working hours after official notification. Candidates may also fill-up Mumbai University application form and submit the same by following the given steps:
- Log on to the Online Admission Portal of Mumbai University and click on the link for “Pre- Admission Online Registration”.
- Proceed to “Apply Online”, enter mandatory details and complete the form to “Register”.
- A verification code and a link will be sent on the mobile number provided by the applicant.
- Log in with the verification code, fill in given particulars of the online application form and attach a recent passport size coloured photograph as per the requirement.
- During the process candidates must pay the registration fee of Rs. 150/- through a DD drawn in favour of “The Finance and Accounts Officer, University of Mumbai” payable at Mumbai.
- Submit the print of application form along with necessary documents in the college.
Ph.D Application Form
Application form can be obtained from the college office between 10.00 A.M. and 05.00 P.M. on all working days. The application fee of Rs.100/- has to be remitted through cash.

Admission:
I haven't taken any enterance exam for admission , so i don't know anything basic about enterance exam but when i'd went for an offline admission the staff members rejected us by saying they don't have any admission open but the principal help us in order to take the admission.
Likes
- The best thing about the college is they have the best teaching staff and they teach very professionally.
- The classes have Air conditioners and Projectors
Dislikes
- The lectures are lengthy eg. 1 lecture is of 2 hours and 30 minutes
Admission:
The cut-off of BMS in this college is usually starts from 90-95% and ends at 75-80% and the admission was simple and fast. When your name appears on the cut-off list you just have to fill the admission form and after few days you will receive payment link and after the payment your admission process is completed.

- Work with nss unit and felt great and loved the atmosphere of the college has great bonding with teachers few teachers had supported and strong support and also a great behaviour and always feel like home best college life I ever had in Mumbai thank
- Same as mentioned above the staff makes the environment great with supper event amazing canteen of college best library and great support from them also for study purpose easy Book availability in college premises and help full also for studies too
Dislikes
- Dirty toilets not available with sanitization for washing hands in boys restroom and had unreal working time of college office staff irritating elevator peon, not proper department communication present which effect each other event and lab is bad to
Admission:
The reservation helpse to get the admission but the seats were not limited. The reservation system is still exists , even though the cut offs are much higher but the reservation people can easily get the admission done thus it , It is important to understand that the following seats will always be reserved in every college but the college is mostly the Punjabi minor thus the Punjabi kids get admission easym This it is important to know about the reservation system and cutoff cutoff for department like bms and bbi which most successful department. Our college is specially famous for bms & bfm The best thing for the college. The faculty is not responding properly with admission process they are Little slow just like SBI band but great when star working the only change required ror thr same thus the process becomes, same as fees structure payment this way the process get length and get more complex thus it requires a little change with payment link which never works properly need more s

- First of all I liked the location of the college which was just fascinating as it was sea facing
- Teacher are well educated and experienced and every teacher is having a tenure of more than 10years in the college

- The campus of the college is comparatively small than many A ACCREDITED college
- Canteen doesn't provide an excellent menu for the foodie students

For taking admission in Lala Lajpat Rai college, i didn't took any entrance exam , i got the admission after applying for the college. The cutoff was 80%in the first round and it went till 76% in the final round I'm glad that i got admission in Lala's college

- I like how mostly all teachers are friendly to students, yes are approach to almost all students
- I like the treatment what they give to students and the events and programs keep on happening most of the time
Dislikes
- I dislike the timings thing, like my timetable really sucks. The College keep their timings are any time for example I have lecture on 7.30 to 10.50 on Monday, 7.30 to 12.30 on Tuesday, 7.30 to 10.50 on Wednesday, 12.30 to 5.30 on Thursday,
- 7.30 to 12.30 on Friday and 12.30 to 3.50 on Saturday. The timetable is really messed up
Admission:
I wanted to pursue BscIT and still doing. I got 77 percent in my HSC board exam which means I couldn't get into the best colleges in Mumbai for BSCIT like Jai Hind, KC, Vidyalankar, Wilson, Xavier's, etc because the cut-off of these colleges was too high. I even gave the entrance exam in Jai Hind, KC, and Xavier(btw I really wanted to take admission in Jai Hind, but because of my percentage I couldn't) and the cut-off of the entrance exam was too high so yes I didn't selected in all 3 lists. So, at last, I didn't have any other option, at a lot of friends started telling me to take bcom or some other course that I wasn't interested in. So I thought I should try other colleges where I would get admission according to my percentage so I tried apparel and Lalas college and even in these colleges my percentages were low. So I went personally in lala college to talk about admission and they told me to write a letter for admission and which course along with the 12th mark sheet so I did the same, they call me after few weeks.

Admission:
The admission process went very smoothly. the eligibility of the course was to come in the first class percentage. the application forms, the application keys and application dates that were all released on the website of Lala Lajpat Rai College. there were some benefits for some castes. the improvement I want to see in the admission process is at that time everyone was feeling the forms and the site got so hanged that the time was so less to fill the form this was a task for us that cause us to open a laptop for 24 hours to see whether the side is still hanging or not. Would like to see an improvement in that admission process.

Admission Was Done On a Normal Basis, with No Entrance Exam, The Form For Admission Should Be Submitted Online First On Boards Website Then You Have To Go To College And Do The Other Admission Process. Note:-Admission Are Basis On Choice List Which We Have To Fill Provided By The Maharashtra Board Website.
Admission:
The admission process was too smooth and the faculties were helpful. The eligibility criteria were simple you just have to pass HSC from any stream. The form was available at the reception counter. Reservation was there for Punjabi and Sindhi quotas.
Admission:
The admission process was easy and the application form was available on the college website reservation benefits were given to the Punjabi Sindhi ST-SC quota. I applied for BMS and I got it the process was smooth and easy.

The admission in this college is done through a merit list.one can take admission by simply filling the form and by attaching relevant documents and certificates. Candidates should passed an exam conducted by the state board or equivalent.
