The syllabus is same in all the colleges of India their is just minor changes. The syllabus that is used by our College covers all the areas needed and also the laboratory part is taken seriously. The even sems usually have less duration (around 3-4 months) where as the odd sems are of full duration (6 months)

I wanted to become a cyber defence officer. So I choose cse(IOTCS) department. More practical knowledge should be implemented rather than theoretical knowledge. Amount of lab classes should be increased. Per sem is of near about 5 months and there are two CT's per sem of 40 marks and 2 end sem of 100 marks.TA is based on performance and attendance and it is of 30 marks. Practical includes 40 marks which consists of practical exam, file completion and lab attendance. Per subject has a particular credit according to which SPI ( Student Performance Index ) is giver every sem.

Now taking about course and curriculum they have subjects that are approved by ministry although when in higher semesters they don't let you choose the elective subjects your whole class will have the same elective subject. Timing of exams are unpredictable sometimes they take exam early sometimes very late. Teaching methods are also weak they only have some experienced teachers and many of the teachers are students of the PhD department or recent passouts. SSTC generally copy the exams schedule of BIT so if BIT is having something then SSTC is also having the same.
