Candidates should have passed Bachelor’s Degree in science in the disciplines of Biology, Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Agriculture, BE/ B.Tech, B.V.Sc, MBBS, BDS or any equivalent degree.
Admissions to all the postgraduate (PG) courses offered by Madras University is made on the basis of marks scored by the candidate in the qualifying examination i.e marks scored in the final undergraduate examination.
For NRI/Foreign Nationals, the selection is based on the basis of marks obtained by them in their qualifying degree course.

I choose to do an M.Sc in bioinformatics after completing my BSc graduation studied at another college. The course is completely about genomics proteomics biophysics with computer applications. Totally different topics you can gain the utmost knowledge from this degree. The faculties are good and helpful.
