RPGMC Kangra offers admission to MBBS based on NEET UG. Himachal Pradesh NEET UG Counselling is expected to begin in July 2024 for allocation of seats for admission to MBBS at RPGMC Kangra. NEET PG 2024 is scheduled to be held on August 11, 2024 for admission to MD/ MS at RPGMC Kangra.

Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College is one of the premier institutions of Himachal Pradesh, situated in Tanda of Kangra District. Affiliated to Himachal Pradesh University, this institution was established in the year 1997, and the college received permanent recognition from the Medical council of India (MCI) in 2004.
RPGMC has 27 departments which offer MBBS, BDS and B.Sc. at undergraduate level, and offers MD/ MS under postgraduate programs.
- The admission for MBBS and BDS programs are done based on NEET UG examination scores.

RPGMC MBBS and BDS Admission 2024
Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College offers MBBS (5 ½-year course) and BDS (5-year course) at the undergraduate level. The college has an admission capacity of 100 seats for the course. The admission for undergraduate courses in the medical colleges in Himachal Pradesh are based on NEET-UG entrance examinations, conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
Selection of candidates is done through state level counselling conducted by Himachal Pradesh University on Behalf of State Government (Department of Medical Education and Research). The counselling is held on merit-cum choice basis, in both state and All-India quota.
Candidates applying for MBBS and BDS seats should have passed 10+2 examinations with Physics/ Chemistry/ Biology/ Bio-technology subjects. The student should have obtained minimum 50% marks together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology subjects in the qualifying examinations.
B.Sc. graduates from a recognized Indian University or equivalent recognized by the University board can also apply, provided they should have secured minimum 50% marks with not less than two of Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) subjects. These candidates should have also completed their 10+2 with minimum 50% together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology subjects in the qualifying examinations.

Important Points:
- The minimum required aggregate is 50%(General) and 40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology
- The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on December 31 on the concerned year of application and should not be above 25-years old.
- Student applying under state quota should be a child of Bonafied Himachali residing in Himachal Pradesh, or outside the state on special circumstances as prescribed by the University.
- The candidate applying under All-India quota should have an Indian Nationality and must be a resident of India
- NRI students applying for MBBS/BDS courses in RPGMC should submit their application along with required documents to the Principal of the college and will be admitted under NRI quota based on merit.

RPGMC MD and MS Admission 2024
Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Kangra provides MD and MS courses in 15 different specializations. The admission process for all the courses are based on National Entrance Eligibility test-Post Graduate (NEET-PG) conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE). The examination is followed by the counselling procedure, conducted by the state university. The counselling process includes two consecutive rounds to fill all the seats in the Private and Government Medical as well as Dental Colleges in the state.
Candidate seeking admission to MD/MS course in RPGMC should secure their MBBS from a recognized National or International institute. It is mandatory for the candidate to possess Internship and permanent registration from Medical Council of India (MCI) or from the respective State Medical Council (SMC).

RPGMC Application Process 2024
Candidate seeking admission for MBBS/BDS/MD/MS courses should apply for the respective entrance examinations through online mode.

- Candidate should possess scanned copy of the candidate’s passport size photograph (dimensions and details as prescribed by the concerned examination committee)
- Candidate must provide an active mobile number in the basic information column, as this number is used to keep in track with the updates in the admission process
- Keep all the required documents, mark sheets ready before hand in the prescribed format
- Application fee payment must be submitted online
- Select the nearest examination center from your place
- Note the application number for future purposes
- Save the Username and Password used for registration
The application process is specific to each examination as prescribed by the concerned websites. So the students pursuing the respective course have to keep a track on concerned website for updates. Upon successful application, the student will be provided with an Admit card which should be used as a license to appear to the exam.
Reservation Criteria
- Backward area seats are reserved for candidates belonging to backward areas as notified by the HP Government
- Candidate applying under the criteria of Physical disability should possess valid document certification, as prescribed in the college prospectus
- Allotted seats for Children of Jammu and Kashmir immigrants and Tibetan refugees are available, but the student has to qualify NEET and go through counselling to secure the seat.

Every year there is an exam Neet Ug The eligibility of the exam is you have to pass or ongoing 12 examination. The cutoff depends upon the various States if you want to pursue the fbbs in a reputed college then you have to score under 5000 or 10000 only rank. You will definitely get the reservation on the exam there is a 27% OBC category and respective in SC and ST category. Cut-off mainly depends upon the state because in NEET UG 85 percent of seats are from store state quota and the remaining 15% are from all India quota
