  • The Computer Science BSc program includes the general First year Science program, with further choices in Microbiology & Immunology courses
  • It gives students the freedom to pursue interests both within and outside Computer Science.
  • You can select electives from various departments including, but not limited to, Psychology, Music, Economics, Visual Arts, Biology, Philosophy, etc.
  • Students pursuing a Co-op option in Computer Science are advised to also take CPSC 210 in their first year or in the summer following their first year. Co-op students will then be in a position to take one or both of CPSC 221 and CPSC 213 in term one of second year before going out on a Co-op work term.
  • Total 120 credits must be required to obtain the degree.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Graduation from high school
  • Minimum of 70% in Grade 11 or Grade 12 English (or their equivalents)
  • At least six academic/non-academic Grade 12 courses (recommended, but not required)

Indian student eligibility:

General admission requirements for Indian students are:

  • Graduation from a university-preparatory program at a senior secondary school: Higher Secondary School Certificate awarded on completion of Standard XII. Certificates must be official. Photocopies are acceptable if certified by the school principal, head, or counselor. Notarized copies are not acceptable.

Degree-specific requirements: Science

  • Math (Standard XII)

  • Chemistry (Standard XII)

  • Physics (Standard XII) (Physics may be waived with grades of A in Senior Math and Senior Chemistry)

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.

No, the University of British Columbia (UBC) does not offer a Master of Science (MS) degree specifically in Human Resource Management.

Hello. I am Grace Idachaba from Nigeria. I have completed my bachelors of science in Nursing (4 year course) in Norther Cyprus. I graduated in July of 2023. I have no other experience apart from the internship placements we had during our time in school. This is due to the language barrier we face here (Turkish).
