I chose Canada mainly due to its lenient Immigration policy and I specifically chose Montreal due to its diversity and rich culture. Concordia is one of the best Universities in Montreal overall. The Campus is rich in infrastructure and is very accessible as it is located in Downtown. You have a lot of opportunities but only if you are looking for them. The city is moderate in its cost of living and Part-Time Employment opportunities.
Course Curriculum :
My course, I would say is relevant to the current trends and have an ample amount of hands-on projects. I specifically took up some research projects in my last semester but it is not mandatory.
Exams :
- I only have to give my IELTS for Canada and I got a band of 8.0. The minimum requirement was 6.5. - B.E. VTU - 7.7 GPA; College - State Board - 98%; Tenth Grade (State Board) - 9.8 GPA - Requirements: Yes, I had to submit 2 LORs and 1 SoP and the minimum requirement was to have 70% in Bachelors. There are no interviews for a Course-based program.
Placement :
It's pretty much the same when compared with other Universities. There are no college placements, you need to upskill yourself and leverage the Infrastructure and University program as much as possible.
Fees :
It cost 26 Lakhs INR for 2 years.
Faculty :
The Faculty-to-student ratio is pretty decent. Few faculties are very approachable but basically, they are as approachable as you are. You need to show interest only then, they will help you. Yes, Professors do help you by providing references and offering TA and RA Positions.
Campus Life :
There are not much of extracurricular events overall, however, there are a lot of student clubs and Organisations specific to certain communities and Cultures.
Hostel :
Accommodation in my city is very decent, I used to live in a shared apartment for 1400 CAD per month totally, So it's around 470 CAD per month which can be easily paid doing a part-time job 20 hrs a week.
