I have completed one year of study and it has indeed been a roller coaster of an experience. There are ups and downs but in the end the focus shouldn’t divert from the goal. There may be days when you may feel lonely but it’s important to remember why you’re there. Focus on your goals, speak to family and friends, work and strive hard to achieve your dreams.
Course Curriculum :
Fantastic subjects which focuses on the key elements of supply chain. It is comprised of many subjects of different fields in order to provide a thorough understanding of the field of study.
Exams :
IELTS overall band 8. Listening 8.5, Reading 8, Writing 6.5 and speaking 8.0. No other exams needed for my course. I had to submit SOP and CV. There was a group discussion in place of a one to one interview. Very important to mention return to home country while writing the SOP. CV must be detailed and must comprise of all achievements and educational qualifications. Work experience shall also be mentioned in detail. Also, one group discussion with a set of prospective students from across the country. No other test was needed.
Placement :
There’s a job fair that takes place twice a year both virtual and on campus. Over 100 companies visited last year. Students can talk to the professionals and they will indeed be happy to hear and share their views. If a student fits the role, they will collect the resume and may also ask to apply through their website.
Internship :
I just finished my Co-op course and will be searching for opportunities soon.
Fees :
A single subject costs $2000 approximately. My course consists of 22 subjects which totals to $44000 CAD.
Faculty :
In my classes until now the presence of students in a class vary from 20-30. Faculties are highly experienced and qualified and are ready to help when approached. I undertook a Coop course which allowed me to strengthen technical skills required in a workplace. My professor was Robline Davey and she was simply amazing. Excellent subject knowledge and she’s ready to help students whenever in need.
Campus Life :
Campus life is really engaging with activities around the year. There’s a LEAP program available in the university which is in-charge of events and outgoing programs. It’s cheap and helps students explore different places. Infrastructure is top class with all amenities available on campus. There is wifi around the campus and the connectivity is great. The library consists of a plethora of books, both online and printed.
Hostel :
There are multiple housing options here at TRU. There are currently four housing options available which includes private and sharing options. The prices differ with each of the housing buildings. I currently live on campus and it’s perfect for me. It’s really close to the university and I could just walk to work.
