I have chosen this college because after my graduation from BSC in Maths, I wished to study abroad and there is a variety of courses with very good teachers so I have chosen this college.
Course Curriculum :
The study pressure here is not much since it is the beginning of the course but we have to keep ourselves updated with all the stuff to avoid burden or any kind of pressure. We have to keep a schedule. For me, I have to take extra information into my mind as I am from a maths background.
Exams :
The application process for my university is that only I have to submit my IELTS score. There were no SoPs and LoRs required with no interview round.
Placement :
The average package from our department goes to around $50k per year and it varies on experience and how much knowledge we can have and how we present ourselves. The top recruiting companies are Amazon, and Microsoft.
Internship :
No, I haven't applied for internships yet.
Faculty :
In my department, the student-to-teacher ratio is 40:1 which is 1 teacher for 40 students. The teaching approach right now is synchronous and asynchronous. In synchronous, there are live sessions with teachers. In asynchronous, the teachers upload the videos prior to the class, and then sessions are held to clear our doubts. We can also have a one-to-one session if we are lagging behind or have some doubts. The teachers are very friendly. There are students from different parts of the world.
Campus Life :
I don't have any experience regarding campus life as currently it is a pandemic and we haven't experienced any campus life yet. The education is also conducted through remote mode. About the friend circle, I have met a lot of people in the online classroom and we have group projects as well. We have an introduction to new people. There is a separate peer mentor group where there are students from different courses. There are various clubs like sports clubs, debate societies, phycological societies, etc., and there are many more clubs and societies for different religions also. Most of the activities are conducted online.
Hostel :
I planned to stay with one of my friends who is there pursuing the course program. After he will leave, I plan to live with my classmates. I don't have much idea about the expenses currently as I am not on campus.
