At UT Austin, students have the opportunity to obtain a broad background in mathematics and the physical sciences and their applications to all areas of civil engineering. This curriculum allows the student to approve technical coursework to emphasize the areas of civil engineering of most interest to the student. It provides the ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics. And to develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions.
