Campus Life
While Emory does not have a sports team that is popular in the country, the institution makes up for it in other ways. They host various events for students to mingle and get plugged into their community.
Accommodation
I live on campus in a dorm room. I had a dining plan at the dining hall. The meal plans vary. I got an unlimited meal plan. The accommodation and housing also varies. my needs for housing and meals did very between each year though.
Accommodation
Yes, I lived on campus for 2 years. Really good housing and it's approximately 3800 per semester.
Located in a city, mid-sized college, the supportive Emory culture and excellent faculty
Campus Life
Emory's biggest asset is its campus life.
Accommodation
I currently do not live on campus. There are many residential complexes around Emory that have been used by students for years. Off-campus housing is not a problem. My two years on campus were very comfortable. Emory has one of the best dorms in the country with 7 buildings devoted to freshman and sophomore housing. There's a mix of suites(4 people), single rooms, and double rooms(2 people) in most dorms. The dorm rent per year is approx $8000.
Accommodation
On-campus is mandatory for the first year. No car meals are included for first-year students everyone must buy one everything is close by and they have a bus to take you to different places called the shuttle.
I received a full ride and it was between here or university of Florida. However, I received more money from Emory so I decided to go there on top of that it is the ivy of the south so how could I give that up! There are many opportunities for students in Atlanta especially if you want to be in the medical field.
I chose Emory University because they offered a great financial aid package of $67,000 without loans. It was also the ideal size being a medium-sized university. The university is also ranked 20 according to US News.
Jewish community drew me to accept. Amazing and competitive programs. At the same time has a very friendly environment and all the resources and tools to succeed. In the end, these were the factors that made my decision for me.
