Henderson State University International Admissions

Henderson State University conducts a separate admission process for international undergraduate and graduate applicants. The admission process and the prerequisites are discussed in the subsequent sections.

Henderson State University International Undergraduate Admissions

Application Portal: Applicants must complete the online application form for international undergraduate applicants

Application Fee: 30 USD

Academic Requirements: Applicants must complete a high school degree from a recognized institution and hold an overall GPA of 2.5 or scores equivalent to US high school GPA. Furthermore, applicants need to provide ACT/SAT scores. Please note Henderson has not set any minimum score requirement for standardized tests.

Supporting Documents: It includes submission of:

  • Official academic transcript
  • Degree certificate
  • English proficiency test scores (applicable for non-native English speakers)
  • Vaccination records for measles, mumps, and rubella
  • Copy of the information page of the passport

Additionally, applicants with Chinese citizenship must provide the following documents:

Henderson State University International Transfer Admissions

The admission requirements for students transferring from a foreign institution and US-based institution differ slightly.

Students transferring hailing from a foreign institution must fulfill the following requirements:

Henderson State University Undergraduate Admissions

Application Portal: Applications can be completed through Henderson's online application portal.

Academic Requirements: Students applying as a Freshman applicant must have attained a minimum composite score of 21 on ACT or equivalent SAT score in order to be considered for admission.

Applicants with an ACT score between 16 and 19 will be considered for conditional admissions and thus will be required to take ‘Reddie Intervention for Success in Education (R.I.S.E.) program’.

Applicants over 21 years of age and who did not appear for the ACT/SAT test are required to take the ACT Residual Test, which is offered by the testing center of Henderson University.

Henderson State University Transfer Admissions

The transfer admission requirements differ based on the number of transferable credit hours completed:

  • Applicants with 12 or more number of credit hours completed are required to hold a strong academic background with an overall GPA score equal to or more than 2.0.
  • Applicants who have not completed 12 credit hours are required to submit an ACT or SAT score and should have attained an overall GPA of 2.0.

Henderson State University Admissions are contingent upon submission of completed application form supplemented with official documents.
