A Master of Science in Business Analytics degree can be obtained through the College of Business' graduate program in business analytics. The goal of the Master of Science in Business Data Analytics program is to equip students with the skills necessary to use data to improve enterprises. The nexus of data science and business is called business analytics. Organizations may increase company performance, make better decisions, and streamline processes with the help of data. Businesses gain from strengthening their capacity to contend and devise plans of action in a cutthroat industry that is ever-evolving.
It is not necessary to have a bachelor's degree in business analytics to be admitted to the program.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
- Applicants must submit satisfactory educational records.
- Submit an official TOEFL report with one of the minimum acceptable scores on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) listed below, or submit an official IELTS report with a minimum acceptable score of 6.0 academic version, unless the academic program requires a higher score, or finish the Language Centers (ELS) curriculum offered by ELS Education Services Inc. To pursue this option, students must meet the minimum level of 112 and submit documentation proving they have enough money to cover all their living expenses while attending GSU.

The transcript of the applicant should attest to the completion of a bachelor's degree in a closely related field, such as math, business analytics, computer science, engineering, information technology, or management information systems.

A score from the GMAT or GRE, taken no more than five years after the date of admission*;

Two private recommendation letters from references in the field (e.g., current or past supervisors, community leaders, or college faculty members);

A G.P.A. of 3.5 or higher for the last 60 hours, from a regionally accredited college or university

VISA & Work Study

GSU is authorized under federal law to sponsor nonimmigrant alien students studying on an F-1 visa. Although applicants on J-1 visas may enrol, the university does not currently participate in the exchange visitor program and is not authorized to issue form DS-2019, which is required for GSU to sponsor the J-1 visa status.
Applicants on F-1 visas, or any other temporary visas, are not eligible to be classified as residents of the State of Illinois for tuition purposes, regardless of the actual length of residence in the State of Illinois, unless otherwise authorized by The Office of the Registrar and The Office of International Services.
The applicant on an F-1 student or J-1 student visa must plan to pursue a full-time program of academic study at Governors State University (6 credit hours per term for doctoral students, 9 credit hours per term for master’s degree students, and 12 credit hours for undergraduate students).
All transcripts, letters, financial documents and other admission material become the property of GSU.
NOTE: Governors State University requires that all F-1 and J-1 students have health insurance that meets the U.S. Department of State standards.
