  • Dislikes:
  • The city is very dangerous so stay on campus.,
  • Living/housing and eating is expensive and I would recommend not buying the meal plans.,
  • The math department is lackluster.

Placement:

We are government-funded and there are lots of biotech/medical opportunities, but it is competitive, I haven't graduated yet .

My overall experience is overwhelmingly positive. I met a lot of incredibly nice people and my program's research is cutting-edge. My PI's were all very nice and I like being able to be hands-on. I have joined the MCBC and gaming club. My dorm is extremely clean. I chose this college because of the research opportunities and great program/connections/networking.

  • Dislikes:
  • The weather here in Tucson can get a little hot, which might be a problem for some but otherwise the university of arizona is a great place to be. Some changes in culture might be hard for a foreign grad student to adopt to but otherwise they make sure you feel at home.

Internship:

I haven't been through this yet as I am a new student, but from what I have heard from seniors is that its obtainable depending on the skillset of student.

Overall experience at University of Arizona has been good and generally there is a lot to learn from here. looking forward to all the opportunities that are there ahead and to meeting new people from my field.

  • Dislikes:
  • Some advanced learners might find that the material lacks the depth they desire. Striking a balance between accessibility and challenging content could be a consideration. If you aim to learn the basics to understand what interests you the most and what is just a fun knowledge to know about this coursework would provide much more clarity to those people.,
  • For students who are seeking an extremely rigorous and highly competitive academic environment, the emphasis on making concepts easily understandable and tests enjoyable could be perceived as lacking in challenge. They might be looking for a program that pushes them to their limits academically.

Placement:

Well this just a coursework so you would not be sitting for research opportunities by the university but you can definitely apply off campus and also talk with the faculty for any research collaboration.

Internship:

I interned at SSERD in Banglore where I researched about the effects of solar corona on earth. It was an unpaid internship. Later I got selected in an international 1 year long research program by Deep Space Initiatives.

  • Dislikes:
  • "The visa restrictions for non stem major graduates was one disappointing factor. Also Tucson was not a great location to be at. It was far from metropolitan setup. There was not enough job opportunities. "

Placement:

Post study placements are not very great form courses like law. But for stem graduates there are ample opportunities.

Internship:

No I didn't opt for any internships.

Internship:

Yes, my college provides a lot of internship opportunities in various fields. I personally haven't been able to apply to one due to personal reasons but a lot of my friends tell me how interesting their positions were.

Feels like home and a great place to practice being independent. I also learned they have a lot of research opportunities and teach students about leadership. The community is fantastic they're always looking for new ways to be sustainable and help out the city.

Internship:

Yes. There are various internships whihc I have yet to embark on. I intend to do an internship through my major such as working at a hospital or clinic. The internships vary. Recently alot of hospice and Homehealths have offered us opportunities.

Good medical programs. I see a good opportunity to get into med school. It is also in my home town making my commute easier to school. Also, I have family support to help me as well in school. I also enjoy the campus and the weather.

Internship:

No it doesn?t provide internship, but people go out of their way to get one. Most people attend career fairs to get internships like this, or other people apply and have interviews while they are at home.

For the dance program that it is known for!! It is one of the best known and sends alumni far places to be very successful. The faculty is incredible and has given me really knowledgeable information so far!!!
