Campus Life:

Campus life is fun as long as you find your people. I formed partially because I wanted to mingle with people and get to know other people and just network in general, I joined a few clubs that aligned with what I believed in. The women's basketball team as well as the men's team are pretty good and are recognized champions. One thing about us is that we don't have a football team and our mascot is an anteater zot zot zot.

Hostel:

I stayed because they had one of the best criminology law and society programs in the UC's and it was what was best for me at that time. It was also my top school so I was happy to get in. I opted for dorms and stayed there all two years when I transferred, I payed for food from the extra money I would get from financial aid. To purchase the schools meal plan literally cost a rib and I wasn't going to pay that.

I live in OC, so I plan to commute because it is convenient for my work as a high school tutor and saves me money. Traffic is definitely a problem in the morning because of the 405 freeway, but I try to leave the house early. Parking is not as bad because they have new structures now.

OC area, close proximity, always did research or volunteering at UCI when I was in high school, very good science classes and programs, prestigious research and internship opportunities, would like to go to its med school.

This school has one of the nicest campuses I have ever seen. I enjoy the atmosphere. People are friendly and helpful. Also, the school was good for the program I was interested in (business). The school also has many opportunities as they are in a hub of corporations.

It is close to home, easy to travel back home and to campus. Overall, I heard it was a great campus for students who are first time generation, a lot of resources that can help a student out financially and educationally.

Hostel:

As first year undergraduate student I am currently living on campus in the freshman housing dorms. It is really expensive and not having a personal kitchen to cook your own meals is inconvenient. But the dining hall food isn?t bad either. It is super convenient to just walk to classes from your dorms and not having to worry about transportation. However there are other off campus walkable distance housing options - University town centre which is a convenient and comparatively cheaper option

Because of its strong research base and amazing research opportunities in materials science even at an undergraduate level. Besides that being a part of a University of California has added benefits in terms of exploring studies in other UC campuses during breaks. Thirdly, as an international student from India, the SoCal weather is a boon!

Hostel:

I lived in the dorms for my freshman year and that was great and included a mandatory meal plan and now I live on campus in an apartment but not in the dorms and I always cook at home. Housing is affordable and easy.

They have an excellent program in a good location and was far enough away from my family so that I could have independence and really learn what I wanted to do. I have met a lot of my friends here and have grown immensely.
