Course Curriculum:

The course curriculum is one of the best when it comes to colleges offering Information Systems in the USA. It is very well planned 16 month program such that it prepares you for the internship and full-time hunt.

Fees:

The total tuition fee for my course was around 64,000$ back in fall 2021. This was just the tuition fees for the course which had 30 credits. In addition to that you have to take care of the other expenses such as rent, groceries, insurance etc. The fees now would be somewhere between 60 K- 70 K $.

  • Dislikes:
  • Lots of students, so sometimes that becomes an issue, teacher to student ratio is not so high, good accomodation is available but it's limited so one has to be proactive

Course Curriculum:

Very updated, great blend of theory and practical courses.

  • Dislikes:
  • "the campus is huge. It could take a while to get to certain classes depending on where they are parking can be tough "

Course Curriculum:

Very relevant and updated to a large extent. This is a professional course which helps us to adapt to the corporate world easily

great place to be, surrounded by students which creates a different vibe to hustle, party clubs are also present around, many eateries

  • Dislikes:
  • High cost of living, since the campus is near Washington DC. Diversity is less, more than 60% of students are Indian so that is problematic.

Course Curriculum:

Good course curriculum, syllabus covers various subjects but not in depth. No industrial exposure.

Fees:

65000

  • Dislikes:
  • I don't dislike anything in particular about my college, but the one thing that could use some improvement is the construction that takes place around campus. There's always some kind of construction going on around campus which can get annoying at times.

Course Curriculum:

It has been pretty nice so far. I recently took a research course and it has been pretty helpful.

Fees:

55000 thousand dollars per year.

  • Dislikes:
  • The courses can be a little more technical and cover more advanced concepts like Cloud Computing and System Design, Pipeline Management. Adding these topics in their courses will help the students to actually gain skills that are more relevant to their actual work once if their domain is Data oriented. However, with the MIM Program at iSchool where I studied, I had the flexibility to easily learn these concepts from other schools like the prestine Iribe School for CS.

Course Curriculum:

The course was pretty updated with the high-level concepts covered but not more so in-depth.

Fees:

14000 USD

  • Dislikes:
  • The diversity in some of the programs is quite less. There are many South Asian students in Engineering programs so does not feel like an international program. The nearby areas like Baltimore are notorious for a high crime rate so a precautions are needed if you are going there.

Course Curriculum:

The curriculum is very relevant to the current industry standards. The M.Eng program is not a research-based degree so no research is part of the curriculum but there are plenty of research opportunities for those who are interested. The academics are quite rigorous, with lots of projects and assignments that impart practical as well as theoretical knowledge.

Fees:

The tuition fee is approximately $1065 per credit hour and you need to complete 30 credit hours for the degree so comes roughly to $35000 for the applied engineering department degrees. Apart from this if you are a graduate student you will be probably spending 900 - 1000 USD per month for living expenses.

  • Dislikes:
  • We get Too many assignments but they might be common in all universities. Some faculties have a very strict grading system. So, it is not very easy to score good. Some courses are competitive to go get into and charge high fees. Mine is not like that

Course Curriculum:

Yes, we get to hear a lot from the faculties about their industrial experience.
