In the Department of World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at Cleveland State University, students develop competency in foreign languages while exploring and learning to value and analyze critically the diversities of cultures, thoughts, perspectives, literature, and languages of humanity.  Their programs prepare students to understand linguistic and cultural differences within their own society and to become more effective global citizens.
