Cleveland State University Social Studies Programs

Cleveland State University Social Studies major provides students with a comprehensive program for seeking teaching licensure in Social Studies. The content area for the major is administered by the History Department, while the Minor in Secondary Education is administered through the College of Public Affairs and Education. While most students in the program become secondary Social Studies teachers, others go on to graduate study in history, law, library science, international work, foreign service, ministry, business, government and archival and museum work.
