The University at Buffalo Department of Chemistry is a vibrant network of 30 tenured/tenure-track full-time faculty, two full-time lecturers, 84 graduate teaching assistants and 18 staff who support and mentor hundreds of students. They value quality and integrity in education, mentoring and research excellence while promoting diversity and inclusion. They offer baccalaureate and graduate-level degree programs in chemistry and medicinal chemistry. In addition, they provide training in chemistry to a large number of students in the science, health professions and engineering disciplines, as well as other professional programs. Chemistry faculty are committed to advancing science through publications, creation of intellectual property, outreach activities, seminars and education of the scientific workforce.
