Student (Anonymous) Review at Santa Clara University [SCU], Santa Clara | Collegedunia

Santa Clara- a perfect private university in California

I opted this university because of the area it was situated in. Bay area is known for its technology industry so it was easier for me to settle down here. The admission process was purely online. Once you meet the requirements provided by the university which is IELTS and your score in bachelors degree, then you are set to get into the university.

Course Curriculum :

Course was properly structured around the two years. Core courses make up a significant portion of the credits, focusing on foundational knowledge and essential skills in the field of study.

Placement :

Placements from santa clara is one of the best in California. The university has strong ties with a variety of reputable companies across different industries. Average Salary: Graduates typically receive an average starting salary of around $70,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on the field of study and the industry. The median salary for graduates often falls between $65,000 and $85,000 per year.

Internship :

I was placed in google as software testing intern. I was being provided with $7,500 as stipend for the month. By applying online on linkedin, it will really help you to get internships or by maintaining connections with other students. There were numerous on campus jobs from working in a library to Uber, you can find yourself doing a lot of stuff just to earn some money.

Fees :

I personally took educational loan to complete my fees. Although scholarships are also provided to students but only to those with a higher merit. Santa Clara being a private university is really expensive so a student must manage his/her finances.

Faculty :

The low faculty-to-student ratio and diverse teaching methods contribute to a dynamic and effective learning environment, preparing students for academic and professional success. The course curriculum is meticulously designed to offer a balanced and comprehensive education, combining core knowledge, practical skills, and personalized support.

Campus Life :

Campus life was full of fun, offering a perfect blend of academic rigor and extracurricular activities. The university gives numerous opportunities for students to engage in various activities, make new friends, and create lasting memories. There were a lot of fests happening here like techno fest and a lot of societies were also formed in order to engage students.

Hostel :

I personally stayed in a shared apartment with other students. This really helped me to save money yet made me a lot connections with other students. On campus housing is really expensive. Food expenses went from $250 to $400 per month. There were no meals provided by the university but essential groceries and toiletries were given to students.
