University of Houston

VJ
8.3 /10

My university is really student friendly and especially Indian student friendly. Faculties are really good and helpful with good research background and facilities.

Course Curriculum :

Core courses are pretty difficult but highly knowledgeable in my opinion.

Exams :

GRE 164 Quants 140 Verbal 3.5 AWA, TOEFL 94/120. I didn't give any other exam than these. CV, SOP, 3 LORs, official transcripts and marksheets for BE degree. We didn't have any interviews for admissions in our department.

Placement :

For UH chemical engineering, the placements are outstanding. PhD students get on an average $120k per annum. There is no campus placement by the way.

Fees :

For PhD there is no tuition fee as it's fully funded.

Scholarship :

Yes, I got fully funded scholarship for PhD along with $34200 of stipend annually.

Faculty :

Faculties are all highly renowned and experts in various areas of Chemical engineering.

Campus Life :

Campus life is pretty good, weather is like Mumbai, lots of Indian students, free WiFi on campus.

Hostel :

I live off campus, but on campus facilities are available too.
