It was good. I really enjoyed and degree was very productive. A lot of research experience and hands on writing experience. A lot of support in terms of research projects, jobs, on campus jobs, extra curricular activities.
Course Curriculum :
It is relevant to community health education and organization. Faculty is very approachable, helpful. University have a lot of sources on board.
Exams :
GRE passed, no specific score requirements but also TOEFL was required. Application also included bachelor degrees documents and score cards. Statement of Purpose was required. I included my experiences relevant to public health, field of study.
Placement :
Worked 2 jobs for summer internship, 20 hour per week each. They help with CV and job application through career center with a lot of career fairs.
Internship :
Yes. I worked at Second Harvest of Silicon Valley.
Fees :
42 total units, with about 650 USD per unit for out of state residents.
Faculty :
Adequate faculty to student ratio. Well verse and actively working in the field of public health. The one who left the most incredible impact on me is Dr. Marcelle Dougan, who was also my faculty mentor for research assistant position.
Campus Life :
Campus life is nice, multi cultural, and with option for different extra curricular activities.
Hostel :
Living with family for most of the time, then moved to shared living with family friend.
