Location in heart of NYC and a strong finance program with significant alumni presence in the industry were two major reasons I chose this program. Getting a full-tuition scholarship made the decision easier.
Course Curriculum :
The courses offered right mix of theoretical knowledge along with practical exposure. I was especially impressed by the breadth and diversity of elective courses (200+)
Exams :
My scores: GMAT: 760, GPA:3.7. I took the GMAT test to apply for the school. TOEFL: 118.
Placement :
All major consulting and finance companies recruited on campus and there was a career development cell that was really helpful in navigating the recruitment process.
Internship :
I interned with a family office as an equity research analyst. The name of the company is Caveat Emptor Capital Management with $1.6 Bn in AUM.
Fees :
$75,000/ year.
Scholarship :
I received Aswath Damodaran Faculty Scholarship for excellence in Finance. It is a full- tuition scholarship for two years ( $70k/ year).
Faculty :
Professors and faculty overall are very high quality and are leading in their fields. They are always willing to help and available to answer questions outside class hours.
Campus Life :
The facilities overall were okay. Being in NYC area, we didn’t really have much of a campus except 2-3 buildings. There were plenty of student- led events and opportunities to connect with people from other programs.
Hostel :
I found off-campus housing in Brooklyn. It would be wise to budget at least $2k/ month in living expenses because NYC is expensive!
