There are four hostels provides for girls. Each hall has its own mess, common room.etc. A common reading room is available for all the halls along with a central canteen. The quality of food is below average at mess. But outside options are quite affordable and reachable. There are competitions within the hostels and a nice environment is there. You have 4 person sharing room. However, in SD Hall, you get 2/3 person sharing room for Masters and PhD.

The hostel room is okay but the facility needs to be improved. It's basically a 3 room seater but the tables are not properly provided. We have to beg for a table and a chair. The lights and bulbs are not properly fixed yet it's on our own expenses. The food is meh. The only good thing is the 24 hour electricity and water facility. For a fee of 7k, it may seem okay but the minimum standards are not met sadly. You wouldn't get a hostel at one go. One must have to get admission and wait for the portal. Once applied, you have to wait until you get a seat (distant students are given the first chance) I used to stay in a PG for two months before I shifted to hostel. If you can't get in hostel, no worries, there are good and affordable PGs nearby the university.

The hostels of Msu also know as Halls Of Residence is very affordable with 10k per year which includes security fee. We have 4 girls hostels and 12 boys hostels. For our girls hostels we can eat wherever we want out of the 4 mess we have. And there's also a central canteen in the halls of residence. And everything starting from cafes or stationary or grocery is nearby from the hostel. We also have tiffin services for those who do not want to eat from the mess

Hostel fees was just 7500 a year and there were few mess and food was quite cheap there. At 50rs we could get unlimited thali for one time. There were plenty of boys hostels inside the campus and almost all rooms were allotted on double and triple sharing.

3.Sarojini naidu devi hall (SD)
My friend is a pass out of MSU and she claims Hansa Mehta hall to be one of the best hostels. Some hostel facilities include
All these facilities make it the cheapest, safest, and best option for girls.
MSU Baroda offers both Boys and Girls hostels. They are really well maintained and have all the necessary facilities.
The hostel has a tennis court, badminton court, cricket and football ground. The bus and railway station are nearby. Thus transportation is easier.
