- Excellent lab facilities and vibrant student life on campus.
- Dedicated career services help with interviews and Preparation of CV's after completion of your course.
- Located in the center of the city , offering travel convenience and affordability.
Dislikes
- University accommodation is for limited students , so need to find housing in the private sector.
- Some programs have very busy schedule and less flexibilty.
- Need to pay separate fees to access sport facility on the campus.
Campus Life
- The University of Strathclyde has many buildings, mainly different buildings for different departments. But all the buildings are not under one roof. So basically, the university is just scattered over a really huge area. We have 24-hour library access during exams. The library also has separate discussion rooms , which students can easily book for group study/discussion rather than making noise in the quiet parts of the library.
- Strath union is the official student association specially designated to strathclyde students. It offers a range of services , events and support systems to enhance the university experience. Strathclyde Indian Society Association (SISA) is a part of Strath union and helps indian students to enjoy every festival, same like home , but away from home, including Ganapati, diwali , Holi celebrations, Garba etc.
Accommodation
- My agent actually suggested the accommodation where I did stay for one year during my master's. And that was pretty good and the manager and staff were really welcoming. Choose sharing flats rather than studios or en suites, which are a bit costlier. But again, finding compatible roommates can be tough. Accommodation near to university campuses is costlier, so prefer staying a bit away and use transport or even one can prefer to walk.

- Campus security and safety was top notch. Also student housing was just walking distance, most of them only few steps away.
- Had an amazing library, we had a full library with all kinds of resources.
- They had a great student body, life at Strathclyde was great.
Dislikes
- There wasn't much that I didn't like about Strathclyde
- Maybe I would have preferred more career opportunities for International students
- It would be great if we had a stronger guidance program for overseas students as it was a new job market for us
Campus Life
- Strathclyde Union is a great place to start; there are activities and events arranged on a weekly basis as well. Before each festival, be it an Indian festival or a local festival, we always had an event planned at the union and outside as well. There was a huge International student community on my campus, which welcomed us all warmly.
- Job placement is tricky for international students; most of my classmates weren't able to secure the job of their choice. Despite the abundance of opportunities in the IT industry and IT-related jobs, job placement remains challenging for international students. If you have a technology or IT background, you're more likely to secure a job.

- The University of Strathclyde operates across three main campuses: the main building, the Royal College (old building), and the Sports building.
- The campus offers excellent facilities, including a comprehensive library with designated levels for silent study, group study and individual study rooms, catering to diverse academic needs.
- The university hosts a variety of events and festivals throughout the year. Students can engage in numerous clubs and societies.
- Additionally, Strathclyde’s sports union offers over 50 sports clubs, encouraging students to participate in various physical activities and promoting a balanced lifestyle.
Accommodation
- Finding accommodation is easy through platforms like Rightmove and Facebook groups.
- The process involves browsing listings, scheduling viewings, and paying an advance to secure a place.
- Shared accommodation helps reduce costs, but choosing the right roommates is crucial for a comfortable living experience.

Likes
- Professors and teaching environment.
- Campus and infrastructure facilities were amazing.
- Student union for support of students and mental wellbeing.
Dislikes
- Not a covered campus, there is main road between buildings.
Campus Life
- My college has more than 20 buildings, which include a gym, pool, library, infirmary, a strathunion which has a cafe, bar, pool tables etc. My campus was Strathclyde Business School; there are a lot of fests and events that happen almost every day, some Chinese tea parties and another day's celebration for Africans.
- Extracurricular activities like how to make a good resume, how to apply for a job, and how to prepare for an interview, and I could go on. And at every hour there is something you just have to go and attend the seminar.
40% of the batch got the job within 6 months; sometimes, it's hard to get your desired job in 6 months. average salary is around 30 to 40 thousand pounds. Students get a job through references and from websites like Linkedin and Indeed. In my batch, the lowest salary offered was 25 thousand pounds, and the highest was 80 thousand pounds, again it varies on the experience of the individual.

- New student union building with seating spaces and food options.
- Friendly staff, helpful faculty and lots of international students including Indian.
Dislikes

- Self study required to keep pace.
Campus Life
- University of Strathclyde has buildings in the main city centre area of Glasgow. It has a large library with study spaces. There is also a gym and sports building. There are many student-led clubs and societies which one can join.
- The student union building is also a nice place to hang out and socialize.
- Any news on social/cultural events would be known through social media pages or physical banners in the campus region.
- Usually there are in-person and virtual open days held for upcoming students at the beginning of every academic session.
Accommodation
I applied through an online platform and stayed at Kyle Park House, which is run by Unite Students. I did this before coming to the UK. Usually, they have flexible payment plans and you can book first and then pay as per their given payment dates. I did not face challenges due to booking in advance. The recommendation would be to sort out these matters before coming to the UK to avoid any hassles.

Dislikes
- No placement assistance
Campus Life
It is one of the best universities in Scotland. I used to visit the Library most often. There is loads of space available in the library. I loved the Learning and Teaching building where students can collaborate in big spaces and work on a project. The gym is paid for.
Accommodation
I paid around 550 pounds per month for an ensuite room in Glasgow. The kitchen was on sharing basis among 5 people. I stayed in a private hostel and not the university accommodation.
Accommodation
The course was majorly distance learning, but we were expected to attend a two-week intensive session in the UK. The university arranged for classes to be held at Cameron House, on the beautiful shores of Loch Lomond. The tuition included the cost of stay (single rooms) and meals.
The course offered was the first of its kind. A one-year Master's program that allowed me to continue working as it was part-time and distance learning. I always wanted to study law, but as I had pursued the sciences, I did not think it would be possible. The University of Strathclyde provided me with this amazing opportunity and I wasn't going to turn it down. The faculty was exceptional, and the overall learning experience was truly wonderful. My classmates were from different parts of the world and their knowledge and personal experiences with tackling climate change issues added to my learning.
Accommodation
The university has a few accommodation buildings made available to the students They were quite cheap as compared to private accommodations - 112£/week. But students staying at Uni accommodations get free gym services
I chose the University because of my unique course, which was available with the University. Also, I get to experience 2 countries while studying 1 course
Campus Life
Very beautiful infrastructure of the university. Library is also very good. WiFi facility is also very good. Computer systems are very good.
Accommodation
I lived in Private accommodation which costs around £300 per month. Electric bill may cost around £ 15 to £ 20 per month.
Campus Life
I was a student when the classes were online so did not get a chance to experience the campus life however the campus is big and sports facility was olympic level.
Accommodation
accommodation : £130/week : Living expense : £50/week
