This full-time three-year programme includes clinical placements which stretch into the summer vacation and as such this programme is longer than those in other subjects. This enables us to provide both the academic and practical content in sufficient detail to ensure that at the end of three years you are competent to start work as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
's BSc in aims to educate radiographers to be caring professionals, able to empathise with patients and offer high levels of patient care, while being confident in their technical ability through a strong academic foundation and able to work effectively in a multi-professional environment.
Interprofessional learning is delivered as part of the core syllabus and in practice, where our students are encouraged to develop the insight and skills needed to work effectively in the multidisciplinary hospital setting upon graduation.
The Radiography degree is based in South Cloisters at our St Luke's Campus, where we have excellent facilities including a diagnostic x-ray room with digital imaging facilities and laboratories for computing and practical work.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students should have high school degree from the recognized institution.
- Higher Mathematics and Higher Humanities subject.
- A-level Mathematics and GCSE English Grade B/5.
Indian Student Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- The University of Glasgow will consider students with Central Board (CISCE or CBSE) or Metro state board qualifications.
- The normal minimum requirement is 75% average including 75% in key subjects, although certain degree courses require a higher standard.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
Required Document List
The most common documents required include:
- Current Passport: Students need their current passport.
- CAS: Make sure all details on the CAS for their new course are correct (e.g. personal details, passport number, amount of tuition fees to pay, amount of tuition fees they have paid so far, course dates).
- Financial evidence: The type of document students need to prepare depends on whether they are self-funding or sponsored students.
- Currency Conversions: If the currency on the financial document is not in GBP (British pounds), they need to make and print a currency conversion.
- Translation of any document not in English: Make sure documents, not in English are accompanied by a translation that meets all requirements in the Student Guidance.
- ATAS certificate: If CAS states this is required – students can also check if ATAS is required for their new course before they receive their CAS by contacting Admissions.
- Academic Documents: Stated in the “English Language” and “Evidence Used to Obtain Offer” sections of CAS.
