I chose UK because I didn’t want to learn another language. But I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it because there is a horrible shortage of work at the moment. I chose Cranfield because of the modules and because it was well-ranked. It’s a pretty serious and academic university so if anyone is looking for a social uni, Cranfield isn’t the one for you.
Course Curriculum :
Very relevant and very extensive to the point I can include my assignments in my portfolio because we got a chance to work with brands such as Tefal. We had 3 case studies with different brands where we got to present our ideas to the brands. For us, it was Tefal, mind BLMK, and Jacobs solutions.
Exams :
- IELTS, no GMAT since it’s not an MBA. I got a 7.5 on my IELTS, I didn’t join any classes but I know people who did. - 10th New India School- 86; 12th Sci from KHS Pune- 68; BSc in advertising from MIT ADT- 8.4 cgpa - Requirements: Yes, I had to submit all of the above. SoP was the hardest and the most important I’d say, it’s a chance to show your personality and your qualifications without sounding as if you are bragging. CV should be standard, don’t stress too much about it. For Lors, I wrote up my own and asked 3 teachers to submit it for me. Of course, they had the freedom to add anything but I provided them with a baseline of skills I needed them to highlight. I could do this because I had a good relationship with them and they were more than happy to recommend me.
Placement :
There are no placements, just job fairs. They weren’t beneficial to me as there were no options for marketing, the majority was for engineering and aerospace. So, had to find a job on my own, no one in my course got placed through the job fairs.
Fees :
25k pounds
Faculty :
Amazing faculties, they were always happy to answer any of the questions. I didn’t really take any help from them for job search but I know some who did so that’s always an option.
Campus Life :
Not the best, as I mentioned it’s a more academically driven school so there are not many social activities but it’s fairly decent. There’s a sports hall with a gym and other sports such as jijutsu, badminton, basketball and many more. There’s just one campus but it’s huge. There’s CSA the student association which handles clubs as well as social events. There are more house parties than campus parties. The library is huge and amazing, there are private rooms as well to have meetings in.
Hostel :
I chose the shared housing and had to pay 540 inc bills for a big room. We were 5 girls living in a 5-room house with 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a common room and a backyard. This was on campus.
