Facilities and Infrastructure 5. Only university providing a residential trip for this course (invaluable knowledge gained from this 7 days trip)
- My college was the only college providing knowledge about up to date inventions happening in the whole world related to my course through workshops and seminars. This was the only college providing a completely paid residential trip for a whole week where we lived with our classmates from different parts of the world for 7 whole days. The way the trip was designed was absolutely incredible. I would say that the knowledge and experience that I gained during this trip makes up around 50% of whatever I had gained from Middlesex University somehow. Also, the infrastructure of this university is the best. They maintain everything really well, be it classrooms, reception, communal areas, libraries, etc.
Dislikes
- There were not many things that I disliked about my University. One of the main things was that it was in Hendon. I did not like the area that much. However, the facilities and the infrastructure at the University made up for it. I do not have any other complaints.
My overall experience at this University was really great. I am very grateful for everything that I was able to learn here. The syllabus for all the subjects was completely up-to-date which made us ahead of everyone else. The teachers were always motivated to teach new things that are happening in the university. The University supports the students financially as well. Overall- Yes, I would absolutely recommend this University in the UK!
Course Curriculum
My syllabus was completely up to date. They keep holding seminars and sessions for latest inventions in technology including AI as well. The syllabus was completely relevant with my course. I was given a residential trip experience where we were taken to Liverpool for a week. This experience was the best thing about Middlesex University for me (personally), since I gained too much knowledge and experience during this whole trip which had been very carefully planned by my respected professor.
Faculty
We used to have 70-80 students in our class. Faculty to student ratio was perfect since for the workshops/seminars, the class used to get divided into parts to maintain the ratio. The teachers were very well versed, especially in their respective subjects. Around 90% of the professors were easily approachable. They are very helpful and kind. Mr. Thomas and Mr. Sukhbinder had left an incredible impact on me and I am very grateful for both of them.
Campus Life
The campus life is absolutely perfect. Infrastructure is top-notch. Nothing to complain about. They maintain it really well. Perfect library with plenty of books. They even had a tech lab where students can use MACs as well. Free Wifi available throughout the campus. Too many extracurricular events including Pyjama night, teacher-student social events, dj night, cultural events as well, like bhangra night and Garba night.
Placement
Big companies, like Wamo, had also visited our university during placements. Some students really got great jobs with great pay. I do not know the median salary as I didn’t ask anyone personally but from what I heard, everyone was satisfied.
Accommodation
I would suggest to go for University Accommodation because of the proximity to the university and the safety as well. Also, there would be no additional utility charges which makes it easier. Otherwise, some student accommodations like Scape, Wembley is another good option. Close-by, great infrastructure, great crowd from different universities, all bills included and safe as well.
Exams
- Admission based on merit: BBA (G) 95.7% ; - 94% in CBSE 12th boards, 85% in English (Hence, no IELTS) ; 9.8 CGPA in CBSE 10th Boards - Received 2000 pounds merit scholarship as well. - I had to submit a Statement of Purpose (SoP) where I had to describe what motivated me to pursue this specific course from this specific university and the reason I chose UK for my masters. I also attached a couple of LORs received from my undergrad professors describing my willingness and potential to pursue this course. - Interview round: Yes, I had total 2 interviews. First interview was a telephonic interview where I was asked about my whereabouts and everything that I had mentioned in the SOP. It felt like the purpose was to confirm my identity, and my willingness for this education, as well as basic knowledge about the UK. This interview had been taken by an Indian regional manager of Middlesex University in India. The second interview was taken by staff at Middlesex University, London itself. It was a video call. This time they asked me questions related to the university and my course. The purpose for this interview was to examine if I really am interested in the course and college or not, since they even asked what all subjects are there in my syllabus and if I know what all facilities, subjects, residential trips, etc does the university provide.
