I have had a great experience overall. I found a great research project I wanted to work on along with a variety of courses that helped me upskill myself and grow in many domains of my field. The only drawback is since it is a 1 year course everything happens really quickly and you need to be prepared all the time.
Course Curriculum :
Really relevant and useful. 50% of my course is research based.
Exams :
IELTS/TOEFL Requirements TOEFL - 107 No GRE requirement GRE Score - 327 (159 Verbal 168 Quant). 2 LORs - Better to have it written from a professor who could give a personal feedback along with academic feedback SOP - Should be catered to each university one is applying to. Should highlight why this degree and why this university CV - Try to make a CV using a format used in the country you are applying to. Every country has slightly different CV formats
Placement :
No concept of placements over here. Need to look for jobs on your own. Really difficult currently with companies not really hiring international students.
Internship :
I interned at a company (remote work) called Everest Carbon. Stipend - Rs 35000/month. I found the job posting via LinkedIn.
Fees :
40000 Pounds
Scholarship :
None
Faculty :
Great faculty, ratio is approximately 1:2 (student:faculty). This is for master's students.
Campus Life :
London is expensive so exracurricular activities are also paid for. Everything is available and world-class.
Hostel :
I have a great accommodation where I share a flat with 1 other person. All facilities and bills are included. Rent 810 pounds/month
