I will say my all over experience is good. The university is lively though there are not so many events on campus but the infrastructure is good where I can have a good time. The quality of education is satisfactory but considering the cost it feels overvalued.

Course Curriculum

8

My opted course is up to date and is well aligned with the industrial practice. Yes, we have a dissertation module where we have to work on a research project of 8000 words on our own chosen topic in the boundary of our field.

Faculty

8

I am not exactly aware of the faculty-to-student ratio but I read a report that states it is around 1 for 12. Teachers are well-versed and friendly, they continuously support students in understanding the subject with conceptual and practical learning and are smoothly approachable.

Campus Life

10

The university has 3 major libraries with all the research facilities including a computer cluster, database excess for research, wifi and most of the things required. The University of Leeds has a building called the Leeds University Union (LUU) which include some student lounge, 'Refectory' a canteen, a theatre space and some eateries located in the middle of the campus where most of the events like weekend parties, group meetings, fairs take place. Sports facilities? I don't have a single clue.

Placement

6

Most of the companies have graduate programs which are specially designed for students and companies visit at the end of October to promote their programs on campus. Some companies like EY, Deloitte, PwC, Bank of America, Bank of England and many more came last time I visited the career fair on the campus but they are there just to advertise their opportunities and students have to go through the company portal to explore the options. Besides all this, the University provides research opportunities to students after their post-graduation, and some scholarships are also available to research students but I have not explored that option so can not comment in detail.

Accommodation

Off Campus
8

The University provides accommodation facilities for students if asked when going through the admission process but they get filled up fast during the admission time, so if you looking particularly for this option better apply as early as possible. Moreover, there are many private accommodations available near the university campus. Accommodations are private room but it can be in a shared flat. Different room option are available for example an ensuite, which has a private bathroom, or a room with shared bathroom option which may cost a bit less. The rent for the accommodation can vary according to the property and location, in my search experience I have seen rent from as low as 100 pounds per week going upto 300 pounds per week.

Exams

My IELTS score was 7 band.. Generally, they ask for an SoP, 2 LoRs, and a CV. SoP is the document where you can justify your interest in the University and the program a student is opting for. I will suggest that the best thing a student can do is to narrate their experiences and attraction towards the subject in a semi-formal way.

Fees

31500 pounds for 1 year course to be precise.

Scholarship

Yes, I received the Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship for Academic Excellence provided by the Government of Rajasthan where my whole tuition fee is paid by the Government.
