Remarks :
Greatest college in North Kolkata. The surrounding area has a little water logging problem in monsoon but with respect to college, it's a prestigious institution with large campus and every facilities and friendly atmosphere.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course is based on fundamentals and advanced form of software as well as hardware sections needed to study computer science. From coding to building the parts on which those codes actually act, is a pleasure as teachers are very helpful and understanding. Exam is semester based.
Placement Experience :
There will be campusing. But no, my college doesn't provide internship. But they'll make you ready enough to attend any internship or job you apply for externally. Also needless to say computer science is a growing field.
College Events :
Well there's fresher's party, one organised by college union and the other by respective departments. Then there's winter fest, continuing for 3 days. There's a picnic organised in winter too, again one by union and other by respective department. Department gives farewell to students in college hall. Then there's pre durga puja celebration, holi and also Saraswati puja in my college.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee structure is feasible and per semester wise. We gave it in a yearly basis and that was less than a lakh for 3 year's graduation. Around like 24k a year. Scholarships are also provided to meritorious and needy students.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Well the fee structure is very flexible so most of the people do not opt for loan. But yes it's available in case one needs. There's scholarship for the meritorious and needy students who cannot pay the fees.
Campus Life :
Labs are available, one for software, other for hardware. Our college has their cricket and football teams. Library is huge, filled with numerous books. We've got a smal field in the backyard of our college too.
Alumni/Alumna :
Students and alumni are very friendly. That obviously you can understand from me. My seniors helped me with books and study materials and whatever needed. Department provides with those too and extra classes for students.
Admission :
I filled up the admission form and waited for merit list. My name came up on the 2nd list and I got selected as there were still seats left for admission. Class started from next month. There's sports quota too.
Faculty :
Computer Science department has great and experienced faculty. Understanding and friendly HOD and all other teachers are very helpful. Practical classes are given extra attention. Self library is available.
