Remarks :
Positive- It's a great college for a feasible fee structure to do engineering and management courses across India. It's a ragging-free campus. Negative- Students need to do too much of their own progress and follow the management and butter the teachers if they want grades. To much rules and regulations to be followed. Excessive adaptability is required.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course followed here is as per the management. It's mainly WBUT Course, But the college is AICTE approved. There are two internal exams referred to as Midsem 1-2, followed by one main Semester exam. A semester is of six months. According to the college calendar, short online tests are also conducted sometimes.
Placement Experience :
The college claims to have excellent job offers and placements. But as a student the scenario here is different. Very low level, new startups, and small package companies approach this college and students are not satisfied with that honestly. One may find some big names such as TCS, INFOSYS, AMAZON, etc. related but the true face is it asks only CSE branch. Core Branches don't have any good job offers here. No internships are provided by the college, not even any training. Students are encouraged though to find interns and increase college contacts.
College Events :
Events celebrated here are freshers, annual cultural and sports fests, inter-college sports fests, inter-school sports fest, convocation ceremony, and independence day. Celebrations are limited to only this many things
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is very feasible for a middle-class family to acquire a BTech degree here in this college. Only a whole sum of Rs. 40000 is charged for a semester of six months including almost everything. Extra exam charges are taken before exams of Rs.600 only. And other things are charged accordingly if required.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The college offers a 20% scholarship if your score is above 90 in class 12th and a 10%-5% scholarship to those who score 85-90 in 12th. This is given only for a single semester. It also has now started to give some of Rs.5000 to all the respective semester toppers of every branch in each semester.
Campus Life :
The sports activities are pretty good though but only because of the interest of the students and the sports instructor. Otherwise, the facilities are inadequate and lack improvements. Unfortunately the same stands for the labs here. The needs of the students are not met here. Most of the equipment is trash or need repair which is not met by the management.
Hostel Facilities :
A hostel facility is available and the sum of Rs. 35000 is charged per semester. Infrastructure is well maintained and in a living condition. No coolers or ac are provided during high temperatures. Water coolers are installed inside hostels. Non-attached bathrooms and no mirrors in the rooms. Almirahs, desk, chair, and bed along with bed sponge are only provided. 24/7 water, electricity and wifi facility is provided. The hostel mess is proper and follows a good food menu routine. The food is sufficient for survival.
Alumni/Alumna :
The alumni of this college are of two categories. Either they are self-made and are placed in big companies or doing higher studies in some good colleges. Or they lie in the other category in which either they are unemployed and are searching for betterment or they have their own interest work they are building their career upon.
Admission :
As UEM JAIPUR is a branch of the IEM-UEM TRUST based in Kolkata, I contacted them and I was offered to join them on the Jaipur campus as per my merit. The next day 15% fees were transferred and then I came to Jaipur and completed the form submission procedures and all other payments. I then started classes as usual.
Faculty :
The faculties are good in their own profession. Some provide adequate knowledge and some do not. Overall faculty here could be rated average. Note: Maximum faculty are from west Bengal also through personal experience partiality is an issue here.
