Remarks :
- If you are a day scholar and planning to stay in Indore city, you may have to travel almost 40 kms (to and fro) regularly. I did that. It was 46 kms for me. - 3 kms road to college will make you realize that why India is still developing. - You are not allowed to enter classroom post scheduled time. (Marked Absent, and I even got sub-graded :P) - I hope the canteen food has improvised (Mess is a different story, altogether). It all depends on your taste senses. Overall, it is the best institute to be in for your PGDM/MBA, particularly in central India. Personally and very practically speaking, If you are not at IIM than its better to be at JIM (Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore). ROI is up to the mark. Exposure to corporate culture is best. You gain skills, learn more, work smart and eventually achieve your career goals.
Course Curriculum Overview :
What you are taught is one level up above others! You stand out differently when compared to other institutes in the central region. There are 6 trimesters during this 2 year PGDM with 40% of written examination and 60% of internal evaluation in each trimester. The internal evaluation includes projects, presentations, assignments, and attendance. Is the course relevant? Common, it totally depends upon you what, where and how you take this. Yes, it is absolutely worth pursuing. To be very honest, the culture of the institute has taught me a lot about team dynamics, yes, it helps me in my profession.
Placement Experience :
Internship opportunities are ample and so the placements. It is said that you should recover your MBA fees in 1-2 years of employment. Major placements will help you achieve this. Then there are skills, knowledge, aptitude and interview training offered by the institute. Centralized placement (One company for all campus of Jaipuria) is add on as it increases the bucket size of companies visiting the campus. My personal experience: Did 6 internships & live projects during two years particularly in sales and marketing with Internshala, Britannia, E Squared, Pantaloons, Pirelli-Celite Tyres, Force Motors out of which winter internship of 15 days in first year and summer internship of 60 days in second year was mandatory as it is reviewed and evaluated.
College Events :
- Annual Management Fest (Biggest in Central region with celebrity appearance) - Annual Management Conference and Conclaves on Finance, Marketing, IT, Operations and HR. - Eminent Guest speakers on a regular basis - All cultural fests - Intra and inter-college management competitions - Multiple social activities - Be on the campus and you are part of the events, every other day.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
During my admission, fees for a day scholar was Rs. 620000 excluding mess and travel fee. Together it shall be not more than Rs. 80000 approx. for 2 years. Scholarships are available subject to some conditions, better told by admission team. External scholarships can also be arranged.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yes, got a scholarship of 100000 from the institute basis the entrance and past educational record. The second scholarship was of Rs. 200000 from IDFC FIRST Bank on the basis of merit.
Campus Life :
- Campus life is wonderful. Post lectures you have various things to get engaged in like sports, reading books in the mini library. Most importantly, there is a street in the institute which is very beautiful to walk in. The campus is covered with lush greenery, every landscape shall make you feel awe, be it the sunrise, sunset, rains and even winters. - Boys=Girls (+/- 8) - There are certain clubs and committees, language labs, IBM Business Analytics lab, sports areas, grounds with all types of equipment available. Everything is Wow. It's all about how you spend your time, sitting in your hostel room or enjoying your PGDM.
Alumni/Alumna :
Senior students are on campus for certain guest sessions or interactive sessions regarding course curriculum and placements. You can reach out to any alumni very easily here. There's also an online portal where you can get in touch with alumni's of Jaipuria, across all four campus.
Admission :
Called up the admission team, shared the entrance scores, gave a written case analysis test followed by a personal interview. Admission generally begins near the month of March every year. Appear for entrance tests like CAT/MAT/CMAT/ATMA, score high for scholarships. Appear for the written case analysis test of the institute, followed by an interview. All scores are clubbed together with respect to their weights and yes, then you get the admission offer if all remains good.
Faculty :
BEST. Be it the knowledge, practical experience, teaching methodology, problem-solving, doubts clearing, or even sharing your day to day issues, faculty are more like mentors and one-stop solution to all your problems. They guide, help, and eventually make you grow.
