Remarks :
H L College of Commerce has been accredited with the A+ Grade (2005) and reaccredited with the A grade (2012) by NAAC, UGC. In short it is an best college in Gujarat for the Bachelor of Commerce students as it provides the best education with best curriculum activities and sports too. Even the HLCAA is one of the most active Alumni Association across Gujarat.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course Curriculum needs to be changed a bit as it is the same since many decades. Else it is good and many subjects' topics gets overlapped with the 11th and 12th class topics. Also for those opting for CA almost every topics on accounts overlaps with the CA course.
Placement Experience :
Placement cell is very much efficient and even useful a faculty is designated especially for the same purpose and he/she is also very supportive. Salaries are to be decided by the different companies at the time of placement. Companies like Deloitee,TCS etc. conducted interviews this year at our campus. Salaries are in the bracket of 15K to 25k per month.
College Events :
Events goes on round the year in the college. Two main events of HLCC are HLCC MODEL UNITED NATION and TEDxHLCC in addition Annual event - EXPRESSIONS is celebrated every year. ANNUAL day along with prize distribution ceremony and farewell is also conducted separately at the end of the year. EXPRESSION WEEK is also the part of ANNUAL EVENT. Also Republic Day and Independence Day are celebrated in the campus.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
As it is Grant-In-Aid college of Gujarat University the fees are very feasible it is around 1600rs every semester for boys and 800rs. for girls. There are provision for claiming refund to this for the reserved category students.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
College provides many scholarships and also acquaints the students to all the STATE and CENTRAL level scholarships from time to time. Every category of students gets scholarship under state or Central government which are duly informed to students.
Campus Life :
Extracurricular activities go round the year the college. Such as dancing, singing, acting, debate, various other competitions. Also it has different clubs for dancing, singing, acting,etc. There is a dedicated computer lab and library as well with all the top class facilities. Sports also have a due importance in this college. No other college under Gujarat University will be having such a huge campus and play ground as HLCC has. There are different playrooms for indoor sports also and a dedicated faculty for sports too.
Alumni/Alumna :
the HLCAA the ALUMNI ASSO. of HLCAA is also very active and informs about any some in their firms to the students regularly via mail. Also it organises the famous HL Garba, a two day event ABHINAND where different comedians,singers,bands etc are invited,a fitness event every year, a Alumni get together every is also organised.
Faculty :
Every faculty of HLCC is having a knowledgeable and qualified. Almost around 70%-80% of faculties have completed their PDHs in thier respective fields. Every HOD and some other faculties have an experience of more than 10 years in thier respective fields. And I must say every faculty is very much useful at each point of time.
